We also decided to check the visa-free regime in practice and move to Greece to the islands. I liked the island of Evia and the Eviana Beach Hotel. According to the description and reviews, everything suited us and the reality did not disappoint us. The rooms are fresh, there are slippers, a kettle, tea/coffee/sugar replenished daily, as well as shampoo/balm/soap. The bed and towels were changed every other day, and the cleaning was seven days a week for all 13 days. Ships and swans were spun for us from towels. Wi-Fi is free, it catches both on the beach and in the room, but you can’t watch movies online normally. There is no animation and a pool in the hotel, but for us this is not critical. Not many staff but very attentive and helpful. All rooms with sea view - very beautiful in the evening.
The sea is very close. The entrance is sand (but there is nowhere to sculpt bees with children), there is a little grass on the seabed. Sometimes the wind picked up the algae - everything was cleaned in the morning. Sun loungers and umbrellas for guests free of charge. You can walk across the bridge to the neighboring island. There is also a beach there. If there are waves on the sea, you can go across the road to another beach - they are not there. The excitement and calmness of the sea alternate on one side or the other of the hotel.
Breakfasts were at the hotel to the left of the reception, and dinners were first on the right in the restaurant, and when there were few people left, then on the left in the cafe on the beach. The cafe chose from the menu. And the portions were very, very large. There was no variety for breakfast - every day the same thing - scrambled eggs, cheese, ham, yogurt, muffin, puff pastries, peaches or apples, there is a machine with different types of coffee. Dinners are different. At dinner they gave both water and wine is not limited.

The hotel is located in the small town of Eretria. Near the hotel there is a beautiful promenade with cafes, shops and supermarkets. It was nice to take a walk there after dinner. A ferry goes to the mainland every half an hour - the price is 2 euros per person. But there is nothing interesting there, we walked for 30 minutes, ate a pie with cappuccino in a pastry shop and returned. Within walking distance there are several churches, a museum of archaeological excavations (entry 3 euros). We rented a car, drove around the island, visited the capital, Chalkis. We walked along the Old Bridge across the Evrip Strait - where the variable movement of water has been going on continuously for thousands of years. Every 6 hours, the current freezes for a short time, and then rushes again, but each time in the opposite direction. According to legend, Aristotle drowned trying to solve this riddle. And most importantly, we visited the Church of St. John the Russian, collected holy water and oil. We took a “walking” excursion to Athens from the guide Mouzenidis. We visited the Acropolis Museum and saw other sights. All liked it. You can get to Halkidia by bus yourself (2 euros) and take a walk there, a stop on the main street, there is a schedule there.
We rested from 19.09 to 01.10. 17 - the end of the season, it was cloudy and raining for only three days, but we swam every day. We flew on a regular flight, fed and watered during the flight, and poured wine on the way back. For the first time they flew from TO "Alf" - they were not entirely satisfied. There were 6 of us at the airport, we were taken by minivan to 3 hotels. There was only a driver without an accompanying guide, he did not know the way on the island, they got on the navigator. At the hotel, the guide did not come to us and did not call back at all, on the 3rd day they contacted them themselves, reminded them not to forget to pick us up and that we needed excursions. We were sent a guide Mouzenidis, we could contact them for any questions - they were at the hotel almost every day. But there were no more problems. The contingent of the hotel is Russians, Ukrainians, Bulgarians, Germans. . . Many Greeks come for the weekend.
Anna is a very nice owner of the hotel. I always asked if the guests were doing well.
They returned happy, rested and tanned. Thanks to my husband for the wonderful birthday present! And thanks to the owner of the hotel for the cake! We strongly recommend the hotel for lovers of a relaxing holiday by the sea.
