The hotel is wonderful! One of the best in town, if not the best. In general, Kallikratia is an excellent choice, since from Kasandra and Sithonia, poor tourists on excursions got only 2 hours to us, and then another road to their destination, and they always left very, very early.
The hotel is in the 1st line and the beach across the road, very convenient. The beach is very clean and the sea too. In early September it was very warm +32 during the day and water +27. Almost always sunny, Halkidiki has 300 sunny days a year! There are trestle beds, umbrellas, tables on the beach, it's all free, provided that you order something from the bar (for 3 euros per person): coffee, tea, juices, fresh juice, beer, wine, ice cream, salad. When ordering, they always bring a bottle of water (0.5) for free. You can also lie on your bed. We had such, but we never switched to them - you get used to good things quickly. =)
More about the hotel. The rooms are new, clean and modern. There is a refrigerator, safe, plasma, satellite TV (2 Russian channels, a balcony with chairs and a table. Take it with a view of the sea and, in combination, the mountains, including Olympus (the best rooms, but the difference is not big). But keep in mind that the mountains usually seen in spring and autumn, in summer they are in a blue haze.

Upon arrival, you are greeted with joyful and sincere smiles, everyone will show, tell, help, at least put it to your soul! ) The staff is really the most friendly and polite of all. Many understand Russian, no one will have problems. Everyone knows English. We were also treated to wine and nuts on the first evening at the expense of the hotel.
There is a swimming pool inside, but no one swam there. Who needs it if the clear azure Aegean Sea is across the road.
Bed linen is changed every other day, towels are changed every day, and shower gel and shampoo are replenished every day, so you can not take your own. Like towels for the beach, they are issued at the reception and every 2 days you change them for clean ones.
Breakfast is buffet style, but good, with a variety of dishes. Everything is delicious, they love salinity, and puff pastry, cheeses, cold cuts, egg dishes. Delicious Greek yogurt, lots of fruits, nuts, pastries. in short, there is everything for everyone, even a large selection of jams. It’s better not to take coffee from the machine (disgusting, I don’t like that) but order from the waiters, they bring you delicious fragrant brewed coffee and it’s free. Also, every morning they bring a delicious freshly squeezed orange juice for breakfast! (I still can't forget them! )
Dinners said that they were also delicious, but we went to eat in taverns. There are a lot of them nearby. I advise the nearest tavern from the hotel, which is located on the shore, a tavern 2 minutes away (I don’t remember the name, in blue tones, there was a pirate inside). And along the same line, almost at the very end, there is also a tavern in a marine theme and blue. These places are the best! The portions are large, we always overeat. Dinner for two, which usually included salad, seafood or meat, wine or juice, cost about 20 Euros. Everything is very tasty, and at the end you will be offered a dessert - a present from the institution, it is free.
In general, everything in Greece is delicious, and you will never leave hungry. Almost all their food floats in very tasty olive oil. ) Be sure to try their seafood, lamb, moussaka and young Greek wine. And also buy sweets, honey and olive oil, which are almost never exported abroad.

You can also go to fast food restaurants, there are a lot of them on the central street, they are cheaper there, but somehow we were not attracted. I wanted something purely Greek)
There is a cheap shop right next to the hotel (we first went to the supermarket, because according to reviews we read that there are the cheapest prices, but in this shop there is even more choice, and some prices are lower).
The location is very convenient, close to Thessaloniki. You can easily get there by bus (the bus station is 7 minutes from the hotel. It’s better to do shopping there, it’s more expensive in Kalikratia. It’s better to go to buy fur coats in Kastoria. If you can take a car, take it and go yourself, it will cost you less. With a tour - there they still take it on their paw, it will be more expensive, and through a fur coat it’s generally triply expensive.
On the fingers, it is also better to travel by car, but you can also get there by bus, but usually with transfers. This is how we went to Cassandra.
We took two excursions: 1. thermal springs in Aridea and a waterfall in Edessa 2. Meteora. I liked both, the second is a must to visit! Excursions were conducted by Ambodis and everything was excellent, very interesting and informative.
If you plan to leave early for an excursion, notify the reception and at the right time breakfast will be waiting for you downstairs, not as rich as usual, but this is enough!
Call your guide from the reception too, this will not be included in your bill.
I don't even know what else to say. The hotel is excellent, nothing to complain about, the service is excellent! Well, Greece will make you fall in love with itself, it is not like any other country. And every Greek loves her and suits her, and there is a reason for that. This is a country with a soul. ) And you cannot remain indifferent to it.
