I rested in Greece for the second time, the first was on the island of Corfu. The town Nea Kallikratiais very nice: green, with shady alleys, beautiful streets. I stopped by on Saturday, there were festivities in the city center. The nightlife is intense. As always in resort towns, especially on weekends, performances, bars, restaurants. The Greeks know how and love to relax. There is all the necessary infrastructure. Almost the entire coastline is a continuous series of taverns and bars. You won't leave hungry for sure. There is everything you need in the center of the town, including all kinds of shops, pharmacies, etc. The best one is near the sea, oddly enough.

Beaches in Nea Kallikratia are urban, paid. At the first visit, you will be offered to take a drink: juice, coffee, beer, mineral water. Many Greeks spend the whole day on the beach, without a break for lunch. The bar-holder of the beach section simply orders food from the nearest tavern. Not haute cuisine, but edible and satisfying. The same is expected from our tourists. If you visit the beach intermittently during one day, you may be offered to take drinks several times. I advise you to keep receipts for payment and do not be shy to show them. I went to the beach at 9 and 17 o'clock. There were no problems.

Greek cuisine is very tasty and satisfying. Meat dishes, cheeses, seafood. . . My favorite restaurant on the main street of the city - Ela Do Kollas. That's where I mostly ate. Also a good tavern To Koutouki Tou Antoni, which is located a little further across the road from the beach. Great tea and cocktails at the Twins Bar near the Aegean Blue Beach Hotel. I also liked the shops of Kallikratia. I was more interested in beach products and a special shop selling Greek cosmetics in olive oil (not far from the main street). Everything is of very good quality. I didn’t set out to buy a fur coat, so I can’t say anything about these stores.

I chose two excursions: meteors and Thessaloniki. In general, I was satisfied, although I expected more from the tour in Thessaloniki. It is better to visit this city by yourself and plan a whole day for it. Please note that many shops in Thessaloniki are open until 16:00. The most valuable thing in Nea Kallikratia is the beaches. For the sake of this, the Greeks themselves go there to rest. First of all, from Thessaloniki. The beaches are sandy, the sea and the beaches are clean, the bottom of the sea is flat, long entrance. And the town itself is very well cleaned. Greeks are careful. My hotel Aegean Blue Beach was located on the outskirts of the town, in a fairly quiet place, next to the pine alleys of a small park. The hotel is very good, I can recommend it: good accommodation, excellent service, Wi-fi is so strong that it is enough not only in the hotel, but also on the beach and in nearby bars and cafes)). Since it is customary not only to praise vacation spots, I can note the lack of changing cabins on the beaches as a kind of negative. This caused me serious inconvenience: I had to constantly run into the hotel to change clothes throughout the day. Before dinner, for example. Also, the town is on the way to the fingers of Halkidiki, the constant flow of transit cars was very annoying. Transport logistics are a bit ill-conceived. In general, the town benefits from its proximity to Thessaloniki, from the developed tourist infrastructure and the opportunity to travel independently. Suitable for holidays with children. As far as I understand, in the future they plan to make the road in front of the embankment a pedestrian one, which will attract tourists even more. Attached is a photo report of the trip. There will be questions, please contact!
