We rested with the family once in the Akrathos hotel and were very satisfied.
When choosing a hotel, several points were important for us. So that the hotel is near the sea, not far from the monastic republic of Athos, so that there is a children's club, guests mainly from Western countries rest, and, of course, a clean and well-groomed beach. All this was in this hotel.
Transfer from the airport to the hotel took place on a comfortable bus. The bus was equipped with internet. The road from the airport lasted 3 hours, but thanks to the air conditioner and the stories of the accompanying guide about the myths of ancient Greece, the time flew by)). When we arrived at the hotel, we were pleasantly surprised, as the photos corresponded to reality. The hotel was built across the road from the beach in the form of an amphitheater, with 3-storey houses in which the rooms themselves are located. In the center of the hotel, there is a large swimming pool, which offers a literally impressive view of the holy bay and the hotel's beach. Near the pool there is a bar that offers drinks and cocktails for every taste. Closer to the reception there is a main bar, where during the day you can also order delicious pancakes with various fillings. The restaurant is located in the main building, where we had breakfast, lunch and dinner. The restaurant served fruits, a large number of salads, cold and hot appetizers, vegetable, meat and fish dishes. From drinks to choose from was wine, beer, juices. In the morning, by the way, they offered freshly squeezed orange juice. The daily variety of dishes was not great, basically the diet was repeated every 3 days. The hotel area is well equipped. There are various courts that the husband and son often visited. These are tennis, basketball, football field and volleyball. The husband said, and she herself saw that everything was in good condition. Volleyball, by the way, is also on the beach. The beach is well equipped. There is a footbridge leading there. Sun loungers and umbrellas were provided for 3 euros. The beach has showers, changing cabins, trash cans and even ashtrays. I would also like to note that the beach was awarded the blue flag. Let me tell you a little about the room. It is made in Greek classical minimalism. There is everything you need for a holiday. We booked a suite with an extra bed for our son with a sea view. We got what we wanted. The only negative is that the windows overlooked the amphitheater, in which French animators entertained their compatriots every day (the hotel was mainly used by couples and newlyweds from France). Entertainment ended at 00:00, so we could easily fall asleep. Let me tell you a little about the location of the hotel. Not far from us was the small town of Ouranoupolis, which my husband sought to get into, since this is the only possible way to get to the holy mountain, where women are strictly forbidden. We turned to the reception to the representatives of our tour operator. Artem and Nikos told us all the rules and nuances of visiting the monastic state of Athos. They helped to open a visa, and organized a one-day tour for my husband to the holy mountain, as part of a group of 4 people with a Russian-speaking guide. My husband was very pleased with the trip, the only thing is that more time is needed, since there are 20 monasteries, and only 4 and a few sketes are visited during the trip. I also recommend an unforgettable two-day trip to Meteora and Corfu to everyone. This is an unforgettable experience with unearthly beauty.

We are not the first time in Greece, and we are very familiar with this country. Overall, my family and I were very pleased with our next trip to Greece.
