We rested in Crete in May at the Apladas hotel near Chania. The island struck with its white houses in flowers and the blue sea.
The hotel is better live than in the photos, on the first day there was a strong storm at sea, but we still went to the beach and looked at the huge waves while drinking Cretan wine. Then we rented a car and drove 1200 km in 4 days, a lot of impressions! : )
But back to the hotel: a big plus is its location (end of the village - a large shopping street). In the evening, it is simply interesting to go out and walk down the street looking at souvenirs and the interiors of taverns (which cook very tasty.
When we were driving back, we stopped at other hotels, so some of them were out of the way... I just can’t imagine where you can go there in the evening....
The hotel is also good to sit on the summer veranda at lunch (there is wi fi) or in the evening. In the evening, a small flashlight is placed on each table.

As for the food - we didn’t complain about breakfasts and dinners, it even happened that we didn’t try everything we wanted, because it didn’t fit : ) (I’m talking about dinner). True, I didn’t really like sweets....But vegetables and fish are a fairy tale!
Opposite the hotel there is a bus stop, it is worth going to Chania for sunset. 20 minutes and you are already in Chania, where it will take a couple of minutes to descend to the Venetian port.

In general, go and enjoy your vacation; )
