We had a family vacation in September 2009. This is not the first time in Greece, so there is something to compare with. The hotel is not higher than 3ki. First, we were placed in a room where the windows rested on the ground, wild humidity, stuffiness, terrible evil mosquitoes bit the child beyond recognition, and the repellents sold around did not work on them. After a convincing request, after 2 days they moved to a better room. For some reason, the rooms do not have not only a hair dryer, but also soap. The hotel does not have its own beach, sun loungers and umbrellas are 2 euros per unit. The kitchen does not shine with a choice, the dinner struck me with its modesty. Of course, no one remained hungry, but no one got pleasure from food. At the end of the rest, dead insects swam in the pool, there were layers of bleach on the bottom, layers of dirt on the walls, especially in the children's one. One plus, very polite and attentive staff, for which many thanks to them.
Yes, I still don’t know if it’s only with us, but all the time there were problems with hot water, it was only at lunchtime, the rest of the time a little warm flowed from the hot tap. When, 2 days before departure, we arrived late in the evening from another road trip, everyone was happy and salty from the famous Matala beach, and the child had a tantrum from trying to wash in such water, patience was over. The next day, by some miracle, the water appeared and didn’t run out anymore : ) So if you got there and something doesn’t suit you, be sure to immediately inform the reception, they are able to solve some problems. At the same time, of course, knowledge of either English or German is mandatory, there are no Russian speakers there.
