I’ll start right away with the hotel, I won’t write, like many about air travel, what they fed on the plane : ) It looks like an ordinary hotel, it doesn’t stand out from other white Greek hotels. After reading before the trip about the difference between Annex and Standard rooms, we chose Standard, it is more expensive for 10 euros. As for whether there really is a difference, I can’t say, the difference was not evident. our room went directly to the pool, on the other side to the sea. coffee is given in portions in the morning, the rest of the time you can drink red or white wine, or beer from a machine, drinks of good quality. however, the administrator issued a one-time card for lunch at 13.00. In the bar, drinks are free all day (tea, coffee, wine, rum, brandy, water, ouzo, raki, cola, cocte ili....cocktails names are different, but the same- sweet in taste, so we took raki and coffee, a great combination : ), brandy is not bad, washed down with cola. problems swimming and sunbathing on the rug, as the sun loungers are only for vacationers of this hotel. Many wrote about the Star beach hotel with a good beach, we never got there, somehow in the heat we didn’t want to jump far and why, if Creta maris suited us perfectly. Of course, it’s ideal to rent a car and drive to different beaches every day, but I forgot to drive at home. right... Cars are cheaper if you take not for one day, but for several or a week. On average, the price depends on the model, we were rented a convertible for 80 euros a day, but they have the best convertibles expensive, you can take a small car for 40-50 euros.
Weather: it was different, then the sun, then the wind that the eyelashes rolled up : ), then the rain, then the storm. An interesting excursion, especially since I saw a beach with black volcanic sand. all parts of Crete, in the photo they promise heavenly places from 35-60 euros for an excursion. We also went to Agios Nikolaos and Elounda, our friends rode in a convertible in that direction, it’s worth seeing, Elounda has an excellent beach and a calm bay, a beautiful place, a town I also liked Agios Nikolas, there is a deep lake, near the bench, you can sit and watch the landscape. There is also a disco Alexandros, cheerful music, dance, try wine with sprite (the bartender recommended).
Entertainment: there is nothing entertaining in the hotel, there is a Cretan evening once a week for 16 euros, but we didn’t go, because it’s a lot of food + music + dancing. there was no point in paying 16 euros for either. This hotel is located near bars, taverns, discos. You go outside and then the inviting to institutions begins. Who is interested in a short tour of the disco: 1. Bio Bio is one of the first disco on the main street, the music is varied, the service is good, we liked it

3. Palm beach at the Palm beach hotel, darkness and kapets! I definitely do not recommend! We ordered a hookah for 10 euros, until the money was given away, the waiter jumped near us, after 5 minutes after the hookah was brought, he brought the bill and asked to pay, we paid (there was a mistake !!! ) and went to dance on a special platform two meters from our table , danced 2 songs, returned, but there is no hookah... we go to the waiter like where the hookah is, and he says that he thought we went home, he refused to return the money, after such an attitude and an idiotic contingent, all smoky foreigners with glassy eyes, we really they wanted to leave, but instead of money they decided to demand a new hookah, yeah, it wasn’t there, we waited 30 minutes and every 10 minutes reminding him and catching this waiter running near us and avoiding us, they brought hookahs to other people, and us ignored. Tip: pay only at the end! There are no rules anywhere to demand money before the end of the gatherings! If they are afraid that you will leave and not pay, this is their problem, let them better look after customers.
In general, the rest was a success and I liked it, the main thing is a great mood and not to pay attention to the negative that you can always encounter. This is your long-awaited vacation and let no one spoil it! : )
