We were supposed to take our eight-year-old son with us, but leave the Pekingese to my mother. Somewhere at the end of June, when the tour was already selected and the dates of departure were determined, all that remained was to take the money to the travel agency, my mother refused. He doesn’t take the dog and that’s it, but we already have to fly out, in fact, otherwise the whole vacation will take place in Moscow. And there is nowhere to put the dog, there are no such acquaintances. My husband and I run around agencies, looking for a hotel where they would allow animals. Suddenly, an option appears - Anex tour offers a two-star hotel in Crete, half an hour by car to cut to Heraklion. But they let you into the room with livestock. But we originally wanted to 4 * and the city limits! Such a disappointment, but what to do, departure in 5 days, vacation starts tomorrow, you need to decide. We decided we were going. Urgently collected certificates for the dog and flew. The flight went very smoothly, we even got enough sleep, at the airport we were met as people, we were taken to the hotel. The quality of service does not depend on the low-star hotel, so we understood and calmed down. I will say right away that we were pleasantly surprised when we saw this cozy hotel. It turned out to be not so bad at all, as we imagined the "deuce" to ourselves. There are few rooms, and accordingly, the territory is not crowded. None of the staff speaks Russian, but everyone smiles and rejoices at you. The rooms have a kitchenette. By the way, the maids do not clean the kitchen corner, so you need to wash the dishes yourself)). The room has comfortable beds, a safe if necessary (we used). Virtually no infrastructure. There is only a swimming pool and a playground. On the first day, our kinder rode the slides for about 5 minutes, and then he got bored. By the way, the pool is decent, clean, we were ashamed to let the dog swim. The territory is small, but well-groomed, pleasant. 80% of tourists in Kri-Kri are foreigners, there were few Russians in our arrival. I can't say if this is good or bad. It is assumed that all hotel guests will rent cars, the reception has all the necessary information, there is parking nearby. We took a Toyota Rav4, paid 11.000 thousand rubles for 10 days of rent. I can add that we spent the same amount on gasoline. Meals are not provided at the hotel, we had breakfast in the nearest village of Gournes. The local taverns serve inexpensive seafood dishes. Delicious. They open in the morning, because all the tourists from the nearest small hotels eat from them. We had no problems with food at all. Fruits and semi-finished products of excellent quality in all grocery stores. They took a little and cooked in the room. True, this rarely happened, they mostly ate in cafes. I want to talk about prices. Portions in restaurants are surprisingly large, and they are inexpensive. We took one for two with a child and it was enough for us, even there was too much. We organized excursions ourselves, traveled to many beaches, sights, visited three cities. I enjoyed the trip a lot, my husband was a little stressed that he had to drive every evening to drive us back to the hotel, and at that time we could relax in the passenger seats. In fact, he dreamed of drinking a bottle of cold beer as soon as possible, so he was nervous with impatience. A day before departure to Moscow, we were fully informed when to expect a bus, where we can stay after check-out from the room. A very soulful hotel. Would I like to go back to the Kri-kri hotel? It's over, yes! Thanks to my dog, for the first time I realized how great it is not to rush to the hotel for lunch, for dinner. It's great to get to know a foreign country on your own. We returned from a holiday full of energy and good impressions.
