Rested with my husband in Crete in the first week of June. AK Yamal flew from Krasnodar for 2 hours and 20 minutes, there were no complaints about the flight.
The hotel is located 30 minutes drive from Heraklion Airport in the resort village of Stalida (between Hersonissos and Malia), on the top street. Initially, we paid for a studio room, but upon arrival we were settled in an excellent 2-room apartment for 4 people. In the bedroom there is one and a half bed, 2 bedside tables, a dressing table, a chair and a mirror, in another room there are 2 single beds, a bedside table, a dressing table, a mirror, a kitchenette with the necessary set of dishes, a kitchen table with two chairs, an electric kettle, a refrigerator, a 2-burner electric stove; TV, safe, air conditioning and hair dryer for a fee. In the corridor there is a large functional wardrobe with trempels, shelves and drawers, in the toilet there is a shower without a curtain (there was always hot water), a toilet bowl, a sink and a mirror, take toiletries with you. From both rooms there is access to the balcony, where there is a table, plastic chairs and a clothes dryer. There is a small swimming pool, which, due to the very beginning of the tourist season, was completely at our disposal. Of the living creatures, only mosquitoes were seen in large numbers.
The hostess (speaks a little English), her elderly mother (speaks only Greek) and a cute white dog named Ira live in the hotel. The people are hospitable and friendly. The hotel is suitable for people who prefer a relaxing holiday. Young people will be bored there, they better go to Malia or Hersonissos, where there are a lot of bars, clubs and discos.

The nearest beach is 800 m from the hotel, you need to go either to the left to the nearest underground passage, then to the traffic light and to the right according to the sign for Stalida, or to the right from the hotel to the nearest underground passage (about 300 m), then to the left to the nearest hotel (in my opinion , Kyriakos apartments), open the gate (it is not locked) and go down the territory of this hotel to the beach street, where there are a lot of taverns, restaurants, shops and access to the beach. All municipal beaches, sunbeds and umbrellas are paid, we did not use them, we bought a large umbrella for 7.50 euros and sunbathed under it. The best, in our opinion, wide sandy beach is located almost reaching the archaeological site in Malia.
We also rented a scooter 50 cubic meters for 12 euros per day, category A is not required for it, we rode around the nearby villages and beaches.
We were lucky with the weather, during the day it was + 28 + 30 degrees, in the evening it was cool, the water in the sea was about + 22C.
I liked Crete, although it is not as green as Corfu, it also has beautiful views from the mountains and excellent sandy beaches.
