After long visits to Egypt and Turkey, we finally decided to see Greece. 2.30 min. fly from Kyiv and we are in Crete. Our choice fell on the Nana Beach Hotel with a price of about 1000 euros per person for 9 nights. We first wanted to get to the area of ​ ​ Chania, western Crete, but after reading reviews about a crazy transfer from the airport for about 4 hours along mountain roads with stops in a bunch of hotels, we decided to settle closer to the capital, the village of Hersonissos, 20 minutes from Heraklion. We arrived early at 7:30 am at the reception. It’s hard without knowing English, but after not long manipulations with our hands and scraps of memorized phrases, we took shape, got our bracelets on our hands and began to wait for the settlement. Moving around the hotel and using its benefits was open to us, which we took advantage of, went for breakfast, walked around the sights, so to speak.
The first impression was good, the hotel appeared before us as a small town with 1-2-3 storey buildings, streets, paths between them with a good green area, the location is cascading, you often have to either climb the stairs or go down, which does not make it uncomfortable or tiring. in moderation. In Nana Beach, there are two types of so-called housing stock, conditionally older and newer, we got into the old fund. But we had a great experience of Turkish holidays, where everything can be decided for money, where to live, how to live, and who to live near. And the female half of our team stomped at the reception in unison. It was a pleasant surprise to find a Russian-speaking girl Anna there and lo and behold, I compare it with Turkey, without any delay and rudeness with understanding and participation without a single extra euro, this girl Anya relocates us to a new fund and, no less important, to the very center of the hotel where everything is nearby and at hand. Our moral gratitude to her knew no bounds, but we did not forget the material part either. It's not a pity for a good person. Huge thanks to her. Looking ahead, I will say that Anna was always ready to help and suggest any information in the future, a huge respect to her.
Well, now about the rest and the hotel itself, a lot of Germans, Dutch, Scandinavians, not many Russians, almost all with small children, Ukrainians were met by a couple of people. In general, the contingent of this hotel is of two types, a foreign pension fund ala God's dandelion, and young couples with small children, but this did not bother us, we came to relax and enjoy the rest. About food and drinks, everything is fine, the breakfast is monotonous and we predict, in general, as everywhere, eggs in all versions, sausages, bacon, milk porridge. Fruits, sweets, lunch and dinner, I liked it more, without going into details, I will say there was a lot of food and everything, there was enough meat, there were seafood. Maybe not as often as someone would like, but everyone found their own and did not have to starve. We went around all the a la carte restaurants, the fish one is not bad, Asian, and everything is not for everyone. Drinks of all manufacturers are free of charge, from Red Label, Metax, Finland, etc. I don’t want to drink. I liked their rosé wine in small bottles in the refrigerators freely available.

There are six pools in the hotel plus a children's one, each with a mini bar with food and drink convenient and practical. The sea, it’s super as always, there is a paddling pool with sand for shallows, fenced by a pier, but alas, the stone but there are steps went down and swam, there was not enough pier in Egypt and Turkey, but given that the Aegean Sea is not very calm, they don’t put it. The water was +24 very comfortable. Of the minuses, the staff does not speak Russian at all, the animations are also only in English for both children and adults, but this is more likely not a hotel problem, but ours, my mother said learn English, but this is a trifle with general impressions. For outdoor activities, everything is available, a mini football field, tennis courts and tables, a gym, kayaks, catamarans, all kinds of swimming boards, all for free.
Diving to dive not far from the coast is also free. Well, what else can I add, the staff is good smiling. friendly, the guys at the central bar can even bang a glass of tequila with you and continue to work, everything is without straining at home. The hotel has a SPA, but this is already for money, massages, manicures. We took a ride in a rented car, saw local landscapes, went swimming on wild beaches. I liked the rest in general, Greece and Crete in particular did not disappoint. We recommend the hotel to everyone, I will not write about minor shortcomings or inconveniences, if you wish, you can find a bunch of them, but why, what we were looking for, we got the sea, the sun, positive emotions and let the minor negative remain behind the scenes.
