We were taken to the hotel in about 30-40 minutes. The Oceanis Hotel 3 * is 15 km from the airport and tourists are one of the first to be brought there. We were placed at the hotel immediately upon arrival (although it was still 2 hours before 12), at the reception they gave a room with a sea view (without additional payment and asking for additional), the organization was clear and understandable.
Oceanis Hotel 3 * is very good! By European standards, an excellent C grade with 4 * food. The first thing to note is the food.
An excellent chef, special thanks to him for the rest, and for the fact that my husband recovered by 4-5 kg))) Breakfasts are varied, lunches, dinners too, you can always choose what to eat, everything is fresh, they bring new things to those who come later . If you have a choice, take all inclusive or HB-in this hotel, take the first one !! ! Our friends took the second option - lunches, of course, are not included, no drinks are included for dinner, except for pure water, and mineral water, juice, cola, tea / coffee for 2 euros per cup, not to mention alcohol. Shops are far away and you can’t run for water and drinks if you really want to. When buying a ticket, the difference between options 1 and 2 is not big, but on the spot if you want to pay + 10 euros per day / person (surcharge is not profitable). And AL and I were not even allowed to treat them with cola, the bartender counted all the glasses that we take out from the bar, so that by chance they would not give away to the guys whose drinks were not included. This is the worst part of the holiday. About the bar, let everyone know: it works by the pool from 11.00 to 23.00.

You will find the only unpleasant employee of the hotel right here, he is always tired, he fell into pouring 2-3 glasses each, when the time comes to the end of AL, they didn’t take cocktails and paid drinks in principle from him, since what he poured for free, as if from his pocket.
The rooms are clean, you can trust the reviews on different sites, they themselves chose according to the reviews. The bed is double, comfortable, there is a dressing table, armchairs, a toilet and a shower cabin together (closed with a curtain, there is no holder for the shower, you need to keep it when you wash, the floor is wet after bathing, it's not scary, you can wait until it dries, or until they clean it the next day maids). Cleaning is wet every day, the bed is changed every other day, towels can be 2-3 times a week, we have not determined, since we always took our beach towels to the beach.
Everything is clean and beautiful, the furniture is intact, everything works - the wardrobe is large, there is a TV with Russian channels, a refrigerator (10 euros / 7 days) in each No. we were told to take out the key periodically at night if we freeze from 20 degrees, and if we want both light and air conditioning in the evening, we climb on the table and turn it on / off ourselves. ) It was such a physical education! The hotel is designed for tourists of all ages. For children and those who like to actively spend time on the territory there is a swimming pool, tennis and table tennis, billiards, darts, there are no slides. For girls and those who like to lie and sunbathe, there are free sun loungers under the trees near the pool (shade from the trees during the day).
The beach is local (pebbles, stones with sea urchins in the water, I didn’t really like it, there is a second beach - small pebbles, where water bikes, renting 2 sun loungers and an umbrella from 6 euros). The beach is far away 500-600m from the hotel, along an asphalt road or local streets, but it didn’t bother us (those who want to take a bus back and forth for free from the hotel, it goes to Hersonissos, there are a lot of beaches, there are sun loungers from 10 euros a couple and an umbrella / day and wild on towels, with your own on the ball, on the same bus you can get to the highway, where you can transfer to the local route and drive 14-15 km to the capital Heraklion). There is an internet room (for a fee) and computers for games near the reception. Even the doctor from the hotel comes 2 times a week, we did not need an office near the reception, and we wish you too. There is no massage room, sauna, etc. , this is a trio, do not demand more than it should. In the city

Hersonissos has beauty salons and manicure / pedicure with fish, there are also bars, restaurants, nightlife is 2 km from the hotel))) There is no entertainment program, animation, dancing in the hotel (but we danced ourselves, there is music, even with the staff we danced sirtaki and plates bili ), you need to go either to Hersonissos or Maya by bus or taxi from 8-10 euros, or rent a car. At the reception they offer a car rental, our friends took it, they didn’t complain: for 3 days they paid about 130-140 euros + 1 day the fourth received as a gift (Fiat Panda small car, full insurance), gasoline 1.8E / liter. We met another couple at the hotel and for 4 we rented a car near the beach in ANNA cars - for 1 day renting a car from 40 euros (depending on the model and number of days of rent - more days - cheaper). You can leave on the same day when you sign the contract, you can leave the next day, they ask you to return the car by 19 pm on the last day when the lease ends.
We had 2 drivers, we drove every day (we traveled all over Crete up and down, the entire excursion program), they asked us to indicate in the contract that the insurance extended to the car, there were no problems. When they parked near the curb, they hit it with a bumper (it turned out to be high) - they didn’t even look at the delivery of the car, they just checked the trunk and under the seats, if there were any things we forgot and joyful tenants with the words “OK, OK !! ! ' wished us good luck. In general, the people there are very pleasant, they will always prompt, help, no one fools and begs for money, unlike some countries (Tunisia, Turkey, Egypt). It is customary to leave tea, as everywhere in Europe.
Excursions can be taken from the tour operator, the girls in red from Join UP explain everything very beautifully, help to find a common language with the staff, resolve all issues for those who do not know English (by the way, the staff spoke well in English, Russian, only some words, and from Ukrainian after we were remembered only "Budmo! Dyakuyu". ). Excursions are not cheap, but Crete is worth it. And do not believe those who say that who has not visited about. Santorini, he was not in Greece. We didn’t take excursions, but we saw even more on our own, swam in 3 seas in 1 day, were in the city of Rethymno, fresh lake Kournas, Bali or Balos bay, Hersonissos, Maia, Agios Nikolaos, swam on about. Spinalonga from the port town of Elounda.
