Hotel for 3 * is very good, neat and clean. Right by the sea. There are 2 buildings, 1 - main, 2 3 min. Walk along the embankment, but there is no reception, a bar, and it is somehow aloof. Although the rooms there are somewhat larger, and the balconies are larger. On the first day we were settled in the main. building on the 1st floor, where there is no balcony and the windows overlook the main street. There is nowhere to dry towels, the curtains are always curtained (so that passers-by do not look into the windows). For this inconvenience, they gave a free key to the air conditioner, which usually costs 7 euros per day. But we didn't even need it in September. A few days later we were moved to a vacant room on the 2nd floor, with access to the same street, but since the side, we can say that with a sea view. For the same money, although a standard room with a sea view - 10 euros per day surcharge.
Breakfast is rather poor and monotonous. But muesli (3 types), milk, tea (black lipton in bags), coffee, 1 type of sausage and cheese, yogurt, cucumbers, var. eggs or cake, bun, butter, jam. We enjoyed our dinners, varied and tasty. Always several types of hot dishes (including meat or fish dishes), about 8-10 types of salads and snacks. For dessert in the evening - ice cream and sometimes apples, more fruit - nothing. Drinks - orange juice 3.50 euros, tea - 2.70 euros.
The beach is small, the entrance to the sea is rocky. Sea urchins sit on the stones in the recesses, I wonder how others do not see them. It is worth putting on a mask and swimming near the shore - we have a sea of u200bu200bits. But there are entrances between the stones along the sand, where they are not. Or you can buy rubber slippers for swimming and not be afraid to step on them. For 2 sun loungers and an umbrella, the fee is approx. 6 euros. You can not take it, but the beach really does not shine with cleanliness (cigarette butts are not very collected), as well as throughout Crete, as we understood. So it's better not to save. The sea sometimes storms a little, but not much, you can swim. But it’s more pleasant when it’s calm, every pebble at the bottom is visible.

In general, there is where to take a walk in the evening, a beautiful promenade with many taverns, the main street with tourist shops. And from the sights there is nothing special in Hersonissos, except to go to the ruins of the old church (near a small harbor with boats).
I liked the rest.
