Rested with family at Stella Palace in August 2011. General impressions - not very good! Not exactly five stars. They immediately settled us in the Stella Village hotel with an explanation that an electrician was working in our building, after living in one room for a day, I had to collect belongings in another room, although after moving a second time in a day, it’s a sin to complain about the room, with a view of the pool and the sea. The result - a day lived on suitcases without unpacking. Further - animation - no, in Russian it’s not belmes, our children watch how foreign children are entertained and ask "why they draw, play, and so on, but we don't. " The food is more or less normal, it pulls for 4, in the all-inclusive bars it also did not cause any complaints. A special story about the hotel maids: a couple of times we left them a "tip", and then stopped doing it, and so a day after we stopped leaving a tip, the toilet flush tank stopped working and an unpleasant smell spread. Having opened the drain tank, I found a slightly punctured boiled egg there, from which there was an unpleasant smell (you must agree that the egg cannot accidentally get into the toilet bowl), pulling out the toilet egg, it worked. Further, before leaving the hotel, while collecting bags, the wife found the same "gift" (a boiled beaten egg) behind the TV, although it was evidently planted recently - it did not have time to stink. Conclusion: leave a tip to the maids - or revenge will be sophisticated. (Number 566, period of stay 09.08. 2011-20.08. 2011). BEWARE of pickpockets in Herakleon (in particular at the bus station! ) There are very frequent cases of money theft (by the way, it would not hurt for Anastasia to remind tourists of this feature of Crete. Otherwise, the rest turned out to be normal, but I won’t go to Crete again - I didn’t like it. For much less money you can have a decent rest, for example in Tunisia.
