Good afternoon. I rested for a week from August 3 on my own, without tour operators, I booked a hotel through Booking. I did not regret that I chose it, the price / quality ratio is excellent. This is a quiet family hotel, clean, comfortable, modest. In principle, all the reviews written below are true. I got a room on the 3rd floor, one to one as in the first review in the photo, it also seemed very cramped at first, but then I got used to it, just spend the night there, and not arrange dancing) The air conditioner was immediately included in the price of the room, I used it, the balcony door did not opened, so there were no mosquitoes and midges. I only had breakfast - every day the same thing: tea, coffee, eggs, tomatoes, cucumbers, cheese, ham, cheese and their local yogurt curd, which I ate with honey or jam - very tasty. That's just in my opinion a man breakfast there is not enough). There is a mini-market next to the hotel on the right - there you can buy cheese, canned food and other things if necessary from food. Beach. Since opposite the hotel there is a five Candia maris, then you can’t go straight to the beach, you need to go around, it’s best on the right side along a small country path. In Greece, all the beaches are municipal, that is, you can lie anywhere on your towels, but there are no sunbeds. Candia maris has sunbeds only for hotel guests, to lie down under an umbrella you have to go to another place. I walked to the right, past the sunbeds of the Neptuno hotel, to the sunbeds of a nearby cafe, where you can lie under an umbrella all day for a scoop of delicious ice cream and the national Greek coffee drink Fredo. On weekends, local Greeks with their families come, swim, sunbathe, but there is still enough space for everyone. The beach in Amoudara, by the way, is sandy and flat. As for excursions, I walked a little to the left of the hotel along the main road, a little further than Agapi Beach, and found a super-shop-tourist office where I bought not only excursions, but also gifts for friends - wine, olive oil, face and body creams , soap) Status MLB is called. As the owner of the store-office Zhanna MLB told me - this is Make Life Better - let's make life better) Very interesting... well, this Zhanna, a Russian, very pleasant, interesting woman, will tell everything, show, advise where and why to go - as if she were her own tells a friend, not a stranger)). She even paints the routes by car on the map if you go by yourself (I don’t have a license, so I had to take excursions). 2 more women work for her - Maria and Irina, I met everyone - you can try everything before buying wine too)) so they have a very pleasant atmosphere)). In general, I highly recommend them! Yes, you can even go to Athens from them who has more time. In Crete, by the way, it is very windy, so the sea is almost always worried, but this is even good, because at the peak of the season - July-August - it is not so hot and you can walk along the beach even at 12 noon.
