So, I’ll make a reservation right away that we chose a budget hotel without food, as we planned to rent a car and didn’t want to become attached to food at the hotel. We chose Tsalos beach apartments, booked a month in advance. The location is good, the price was reasonable. Despite some unflattering reviews, we decided that we would not spend much time there anyway, and in general we are experienced and sane tourists, we know for what money and in what conditions we are going. But this is the first time we have encountered this in our 19 trips abroad. We just ruined our first day of rest and pretty frayed nerves.
After a long road with adventures, having arrived at the hotel at half past one, we wanted to get into the room as soon as possible and relax. But a nasty surprise awaited us. It turns out that no one was waiting for us there. Two men, after a "fun party", tried to tell us that we had no armor at all. As it turned out later, one of them was the owner, and the second was a whip-boy, he was our translator, who for some reason answered my question "Who do we communicate with? " said that with the bartender. It is not clear why he tried to hide that it was the owner of the hotel. They discussed something very emotionally for a long time, and then they said that they could, as an exception, provide us with a room in another hotel. I had a shock. How is there no armor and what can be done at night?
I said that we would not go anywhere, but it was night outside and we needed to sleep somewhere. Tired with a nervous breakdown, we agreed to go to a hotel that was located away from the sea. Thanks to the manager of the D&D Resort hotel, who received us with understanding, even tried to reassure us somehow and invited us to breakfast in the morning. We were promised that they would pick us up in the morning, but we did not wait. I was already in such despair that I was ready to stomp to the hotel myself and we went there. As it turned out, the reservation was still there, we were simply deceived.

No one apologized for the inconvenience and damaged nerves. We were given a room but on the first floor overlooking the kitchen wall and a refrigeration unit that was noisy. I asked to change the room, but there were no available. Then we were shown a room where we could move to the next day. But out of 8 days, one day was already stolen from us, since the flight was delayed and we arrived at night. We spent the second day on settling in and we no longer wanted to waste another day on resettlement again. We decided to stay in this room.
At night it was no longer hot, we slept with a closed balcony and the noise did not bother us. As we later realized it was not the worst option. We liked the room. Spacious, with a kitchen and all necessary utensils. Normal fridge, coffee maker, toaster, kettle and induction hob. True, I did not really like the shower, but you can adapt.
On the same day we had an appointment with the guide. I told her all this incomprehensible night story. She tried to talk to the owner, but he spoke to her in a raised voice. He told her a completely different story. Allegedly, he tried to explain to us in English for two hours that he did not have a number corresponding to our reservation, but we did not understand. Such a blatant lie angered me even more. First, what is English? We communicated through a beach boy who knows Russian. Secondly, he immediately said that there was no reservation and this was the problem of the guide.
It is not clear where he looked, that he did not immediately find our documents. He just doesn't know what's going on in his hotel and it's bewildering what kind of owner he is. Thirdly, why does a person behave so aggressively with guests, like we are to blame for arriving in the middle of the night and demanding something from him. This is his problem, that he does not have a resettlement manager, he does this himself and, as it turned out, not professionally. Or he simply resells numbers, and then does not know how to get out. Fortunately, the maid Maria works at the hotel, the sweetest woman who helped us in sign language to solve our questions. Thanks to her, our first negative impressions and emotions subsided a bit and we didn’t have any more special problems.

The hotel itself turned out to be very personal. True, when we saw the entrance to the hotel and the reception for the first time at night, which did not look the best after the party and negative communication, we thought that we had fallen into some kind of hole and were upset, but in the morning everything turned out to be much better. The hotel is a little tired, but the territory is very nice, although not very big. Lots of greenery. The hotel is small, few people and the audience was quiet. Nice clean deep pool. We even swam once on the last day. Near a supermarket, which is good news, in case of self-catering. Everything's there. So when we didn't feel like going to the Europa store which is in the center of the village, this was a good option. The sea is nearby, only the entrance to the sea is not very good, but we walked a little further and everything was fine there. Wi-fi caught only near the supermarket.
There is parking next to the hotel. This was also a plus for us, since we rented a car for three days. In general, if it were not for the inadequate behavior of the owner, everything would not be bad. In conclusion, we were supposed to be picked up at 19.00. For some reason, we started having problems with warm water and a drain barrel. We were offered to pay extra 30 euros for the extension of the room and move to the room above us. We decided to pay extra and move, we wanted to fully relax before the long journey home. We calmly packed our bags, went to the beach, had lunch and dinner in the room,
rested before the road and thanks to our trips by car and good weather returned home with a lot of unforgettable impressions.
I understand that the hotel management is unlikely to read these reviews and draw any conclusions. After I said that I would not leave this story without attention, they answered me, write wherever you want. It looks like they are deeply purple in the opinion of guests and the rating of the hotel. But we are not used to such communication and do not understand how a hotel owner can behave like this. If you care about your own reputation, and you already messed up somewhere, admit it and do everything to make the guests happy, and do not pretend that you did a huge favor by accepting us for our own money in your hotel.
I wanted to warn tourists that such an unpleasant situation could happen to them.
