I read the negative reviews about the hotel and this inspired me to write my review. This was my first trip to Crete, and the island itself did not impress me, because the vegetation here is rather sparse, there is not enough greenery . . sometimes it resembles the surroundings of Berdyansk or Evpatoria. In the hotel with greenery, too, strained, as I understand it, she has not had time to grow. But this was the only negative, otherwise we were very pleased with the rest. Room cleaning is regular. We took a luxury bungalow with access to the sea. During our stay, the hotel was not completely filled, many tourists who had paid for standard rooms were settled in rooms with a pool or sea view. The staff at the hotel was very attentive to all requests. As for the food, I was shocked by the dissatisfied reviews . . if the food here is monotonous, then I don’t know where people eat . . And breakfasts and dinners were very varied. A lot of fruits - strawberries, pineapples, grapes. Fish and seafood are also in sufficient quantity. A saxophonist often played at breakfast, very romantic.
There was a lot of free space on the beach, or rather the right beach, which is closer to the pool, was generally empty.
Moreover, the disadvantages include the lack of heating in the pool, in early May the water was cool, although we swam.

The hotel has a shop selling children's toys, food, diapers. Large selection of souvenirs. By the way, in duty free, the prices for souvenirs are very good, and a very large assortment of everything.
There is no animation at the hotel, or rather it is, but it is not seen or heard. For me, this is a plus. The only animator I saw was the girl in the kids club. By the way, in the kids club they feed all the children during the day, even if you don’t have lunches paid for.
Free Wi-Fi is available in the rooms and around the pool.
We rented a car, there is a rental near the hotel. Here, an unpleasant surprise was the child seat, which was not only very worn, but I was also told that we ourselves must fix it. Instructions were not included with this. Having suffered with the armchair, we nevertheless made a very pleasant walk around Crete, reached the westernmost point - there is the beach of Vai, where a palm grove is located right on the beach.
In general, I really liked the rest, I think to go to Rhodes next year, and I will definitely choose a Greecotel hotel!
