We rested from August 25 to September 8.2013. Upon arrival, we were told that they would not be able to accommodate us in a bungalow with a large bed, as we indicated, today and were offered a bungalow with "two beds". Arriving at the bungalow, we saw a good room with two beds pushed together and a good sea view from the terrace. The bungalow was a corner bungalow and the sea view was direct, while neighboring bungalows in the same building had a sea view over the unsympathetic concrete roof of the front bungalows. On the same day, we turned to the reception to the manager Elizabeth and said that we want to stay in this bungalow, that the bed suits us. Elisabeth, who spoke Russian quite well, told us that this was not possible, since we had booked a bungalow with a double bed, and this room was already reserved for guests who ordered two beds and would be moved the next day. The next day, we tried to resolve the issue so as not to move (we didn’t want to pack and unpack things again) through a travel agency representative. But she failed to do this either, though the explanation for the reason was already different - supposedly this bungalow is reserved for guests who have been going to it for 20 years and the hotel values them very much. We got the key to the new bungalow and went to look at it. It turned out to be practically a copy of the one from which we were evicted - with exactly the same two beds pushed together. But the view from his terrace was much worse - on concrete roofs and a strip of sea above it. Realizing that it was difficult to argue with the hotel administration, we went to pack our things in our first bungalow, but our keys were already blocked and we did not get into it. Having traveled 300 meters in a 30-degree heat to the reception, we again became indignant at such an attitude towards customers, showed Elizabeth photos of the beds and asked which of them was the "king size bed"? She, of course, could not explain anything intelligible, as well as why our things remained in the blocked room. The issue with unlocking the keys was resolved in 20 minutes. Having moved, we demanded a meeting with the director of the hotel, we were taken to the director Nikos. He apologized, but said that they could not return our first bungalow to us and offered to move in from September 1 in the third bungalow by the pool. After watching it, we abandoned this option, concluding that tourists from Russia are treated here as second-class people. Thus, almost a whole day of rest was ruined for us. A few days later, the director Nikos sent us a bottle of Greek wine (you could drink it) and an invitation from the management to visit the "Cretan evening" for free (other guests paid 20 euros per person). We accepted the apology. Now about the hotel itself. Bungalows of the same price category are equipped differently. The second had no bathrobes and no mirror on the wall. Near the entrance to the bungalows, at times there was a strong unpleasant sewer smell, it seems that the sewerage is there in the form of a septic tank. Part of the large area of the hotel is not lit in the evening and we used a flashlight. WI-FI only at the reception and in the cafe. Not even in the hotel restaurant. Breakfast in the restaurant is not bad, but monotonous - every day the same thing. Juices are all unnatural and tasteless. We only went out for dinner twice. Dinner is not tasty, second courses are just terrible, even the fish was inedible. drinks must be purchased at prices higher than those in local restaurants. But on a paid Cretan evening on Fridays, the food was very varied and tasty, which means they know how to cook, they just don’t want to do it every day and for a large number of guests. But near the hotel there are many taverns where the food is tasty and inexpensive. The hotel is in a good location - close to everything. The hotel has its own good beach with a convenient entrance to the sea, free sunbeds and umbrellas for guests, good pools with a relaxation area around and a fitness room. In the evening after 21 o'clock the hotel is already quiet, there is no animation. The rooms are cleaned daily and clean, but the beach towels have not been changed even once in two weeks. In a bungalow on the bed there are only two small pillows 30x50, it is not comfortable to sleep.
