We rested in Dimitrion with a girlfriend, we chose Hersonissos, since it is quite popular in Crete. Attracted by the price, of course. The hotel itself is in the city center, 5-10 minutes walk to the beach, what you need. There was a choice: to take a room with a view of the street or the courtyard, they still chose the street, so noisier, but more civilized. The most ordinary room, standard, two beds, TV set, refrigerator, split. Everything related - iron, hair dryer, tea and coffee accessories - at the reception, you just need to ask, they will give you right away. They cleaned the room, apparently, daily, we didn’t see how, because the whole day either on the beach or on excursions. But they came - it was clean. Linen was changed 4 times. The hotel has a swimming pool, we never swam there, but it is clearly popular with hotel guests (there is a bar next to the pool, the neighbors said it was good). We ate according to the breakfast-dinner system in the restaurant. The food is quite ordinary, everything suited us, but we never get hung up on this at all. Breakfast is usually scrambled eggs, salad, fruit, yogurt, buns, butter, tea and coffee. For dinner, they are already serving hot, something meat, stewed vegetables, potatoes, dessert, in general, you will not be hungry. The beach is municipal and paid, although some brought their own towels and sunbathed for free, this is not prohibited. Nearby there is also a good entertainment complex StarBeach. In the sea it is better to wear slippers, there may be stones. We rented a car in Hersonissos, drove around the island, what a wonderful island it is! But that's a completely different story. . Summing up, I’ll say that Dimitrion is a pretty solid three-ruble note. if there is no possibility for 5 * "all inclusive", here you can also have a great rest.
