My seven-year-old daughter and granddaughter and I flew to the Serita Beach Hotel from rainy Moscow to the gentle Greek sea and sun. The road from the airport to the hotel took about 15-20 minutes, about the same time and the settlement itself. We had a "standard" room on the second floor, clean and comfortable with a sea view. The room had a TV (albeit an old one, but I caught a couple of Russian-language channels), a refrigerator, a telephone, a hair dryer. Cleaning was done daily, quite acceptable (but not 5+). I also liked the hotel area, large, comfortable, green. The hotel has two outdoor pools with sea water for adults and one for children - a water slide. Next to it is a playground and a mini-club where animators work with children. For children there was also evening animation in the hall of the central building from 21 to 21-30. The children, along with the animators, sang and danced, everything is standard, of course, but the children liked it.
The food in the hotel restaurant was for every taste and color. A varied selection of meat, fish, vegetable dishes, all kinds of salads, desserts, pastries, fruits, juices, wines. For children, you could take milk porridge. For very young children, you can take highchairs. Cooked delicious.
The beach is across the road from the hotel, small, small pebbles, free sunbeds and umbrellas, in general, not bad. But entering the sea is on stones, so you need to take slippers so as not to experience discomfort.

From sports there is table tennis (free of charge), volleyball on the beach, aqua aerobics, water polo. For a fee, you can play tennis (there are two tennis courts right in front of the central building), go water skiing, paragliding.
A shuttle bus runs to the nearby cities of Hersonissos and Heraklion, stopping 10 minutes from the hotel. At the reception you can order a taxi, rent a car for independent travel, book excursions to places of interest in Crete. We watched the cave of Zeus, the Lassithi plateau, the Palace of Knossos. All excursions were very interesting and informative. The staff was polite and friendly, helped to resolve any issue, if any. Internet is free in the hotel lobby, if it's important to someone, it's quite decent. The majority of tourists are French and Germans. There were very few Russian tourists, which we were not particularly upset about
