Hello! I want to tell you about my wonderful vacation in Greece! We rested with my son from May 9 to May 18 at the Alexander the great hotel, the place is amazing. At first they were going to go to the island of Rhodes, but there were no direct flights from our city at that time, as a result we ended up in Halkidiki. Not a bit sorry. The hotel area is completely green, they grow oranges, peaches, olives, pine palm trees and flowers around.

The food is decent. Of course, you can diversify breakfast more, and paid drinks at dinner are somehow inconvenient, you need to always have money with you. But nothing, but the hotel had a tavern, and bars, and a small shop. I liked the lack of animation, I don’t like it, I want to enjoy the rest, and not compete in games. We will remember the hotel staff for a long time - people are sympathetic, friendly, Zurika helped a lot everywhere (he spoke Russian) and the girls - hotel guides.

In May, there are few people, so we can say that the first days of rest, the hotel pool was all ours. The beach, due to the lack of crowds, seemed almost wild, which is great.

The first days of rest explored the area, we love to walk. In 25 minutes we reached the village of Kriopigi, had a delicious meal there, walked around a real Greek village. On the second day, we walked to the town of Kallithea (40 minutes walk) - there is a purely tourist area, bars, shops ...we were not particularly impressed. We met a local resident, he took us to a more interesting place - the city of Afytos - there are cute colorful houses in the Greek style, and a gorgeous panoramic view of the sea right from the tavern, where we were lucky to have lunch. We walked in Afitos for a long time, in the evening we returned back by taxi.

In addition, we were on excursions - we looked at the numerous shrines of Greece, as far as possible.
Therefore, my son and I traveled literally every other day: we saw the majestic Meteora and Athens (two-day excursion), the shrines of Thessaloniki, the holy places of the Langada diocese. After each of these trips, they returned with a feeling of pleasant fatigue and spiritual enrichment. I liked the guides Olga and mother Neonila, who took us on pilgrimage tours. Our guide Konstantin took us to Athens-Meteora. I would like to thank you all for a great vacation.
