We were in Amon Zeus in September 2008. The hotel still draws on three stars - it was relatively recently assigned 4. Everything is decent in the room, an uncomfortable bath is just sitting, small. The service was basically okay. Half of the rooms do not overlook the sea, but a small mountain, this, of course, cannot be compared with a room with a sea view, but they cost the same, so you have to negotiate at the reception. We were lucky - still got a sea view. The hotel's beach is considered one of the best in Halkidiki, and this is true, the hotel is right on the beach - the beach is good, wide, clean. The sea was just amazing - very shallow, the water is clear, clean. To get to the village of Kallithea, you need to climb the stairs of 100 steps. But it didn't bother me too much. You go up and you are in the center of the village, in principle it is convenient. The village is small, there are many cafes, and of course souvenir shops. But the main disadvantage of the hotel is the food. It was bad to say the least! It’s scarce, not enough, somehow everything is sloppy and it’s not clear what freshness! I advise you to take only breakfast - you can still endure it. As a result, we didn’t go for dinner at all - we ate in numerous taverns. This is really great, we enjoyed all the delights of the local cuisine, and of course the cuisine is excellent! Especially, of course, seafood. There is no animation in the hotel at all, only a bar is open in the evening. But in general, everything, except for the food, was good. Well, Greece, of course, pleased. We went on excursions - to the Athos cruise, Toroneus cruise and, of course, Meteora. All excursions are worthwhile, the organization is good, the guides are excellent - funny guys. Everything was organized by the Greek tour operator Beleon Tours. All in all, the holiday was great. And I wish you the same! =)
