Hello! Were in Macedonian Sun 3* from 13.07. 07 to 22.07. 07. I liked it very much. From Thessaloniki airport to the hotel about 2 hours by car. You drive around the city for about 20 minutes, then you have a view of the sea and the remaining hour and forty you drive along the coast. The hotel is part of the Athos Palace 4 * hotel chain (150m to the beach) and Polini Beach 4 * (100m to the beach), these four are one ten-story building and which are very reminiscent of the city type we are used to, unlike the Macedonian Sun 3 * which consists of several two-storey buildings with 5-6 rooms on each floor, which are located across the road from Athos Palace 4 * and Polini Beach 4 *, 5 minutes to the sea with an average step.

The Macedonian Sun 3 * hotel is immersed in flowers and greenery, and peacocks walk around the territory from early morning until late in the evening.

For those who have just arrived with bags on wheels, please pay attention to the fact that your guide will lead you along the staircase to the main building, which is long, so if you go to the right through the restaurant (where you will eat), you can climb the path there, breaking only 4 steps, so when you get off the bus, ask the guide how to "get through" and not drag your bags up the stairs. So, the rooms in Macedonian Sun 3 * are spacious, the furniture is all new, the room is cleaned every day, the air conditioner is individual, the bathroom is clean and the plumbing is also new, TV, on the second floor there are balconies with tables and chairs, on the first floor, unfortunately, baleons (with tables and chairs) are not fenced, i. e. you leave the room immediately to the street and this is only one minus of living on the 1st floor.

The hotel is located 1 km from the
Kallithea (15-20 min walk), everything is there: shops 1 mini-supermarket, souvenir shops (you can also buy products in them that will be more expensive, unlike supermarkets in Kallithea for 0.5-1.5 euros), there is karting, a night disco, bowling, there is an excellent restaurant "Dias" with fish cuisine, I highly recommend trying the grilled octopus. Residents of the Macedonian Sun 3 * can use the entire infrastructure of the Athos Palace 4 * and Polini Beach 4 * hotels (beach (umbrellas and sunbeds for a fee), beach bar, swimming pools ... ). Entertainment programs (animation) are held on the beach every evening, it's worth going - it's interesting, it won't be boring. There are water sports on the beach ("banana", "tablet", "parachute", scooters, boats ...a walk with Captain Max (a boat led by a small black dog who runs along the beach and calls tourists for a boat trip)). I already wrote that from the beach to the hotel about 5 minutes on foot (500-700m) and this is good, because.
after a hearty breakfast (and it is), it is very useful to walk otherwise you can return home with obvious changes in the figure : -)).

I strongly advise you to travel on excursions, I really liked the trip (which took a whole day) to the monasteries of Miteora, for the sake of 2 hours of the excursion itself, it’s worth shaking on the bus all day: extraordinary beauty !! ! There are also organized trips to shopping centers and fur factories (those who want to buy fur products can not go there, because there are a lot of fur shops in the city with very good prices, selection and discounts). In general, I recommend to everyone who decides to go to Macedonian Sun 3*!! ! You will not regret.
