Our holiday was at the Portes Beach Hotel. We rested in it three years ago and now decided to return again. Changes in the hotel pleasantly surprised! Firstly, a completely new facade and reception area. We liked the design, everything is light and concise. Even after three years, we were very happy to see the same receptionists and restaurant staff. One immediately gets a positive impression of the hotel, because in a bad place the same people would not work for so long.
Separately, we want to thank the girl Maya, who helped us with accommodation and took into account our wishes regarding the room. The rooms themselves have also been nicely refurbished. I would like to say right away that the hotel is not new, but at the same time the living conditions and the entire infrastructure are pulling 9 out of 10, and this is not bad. And all due to constant updates.
We got a room in a bungalow, the penultimate building on the right side, number 225. We advise you, a very advantageous position and a view of the pine forest pleases.
As for food, the kitchen has not changed much except for a few nuances. But we liked everything anyway, so there are no special complaints. But the most important thing is that everything is homemade delicious, especially grilled vegetables, grilled salmon fillet, grilled chicken breast, deep-fried cheese balls, paella, mussels - it's all cooked outside in front of the guests.
Good active animation, participated in many games and water activities. We are especially grateful to the girl Rodanti, who worked very responsibly with the kids. Surprisingly, she herself is Greek, but she communicates quite well in many languages and thus easily finds a common language with all the guys. For children there is a swimming pool with fresh water, a playground and a club.
The beach is very nice, well-groomed, equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas, they are free for guests who are on an all-inclusive basis.
We rested just great, got a boost of energy and positive emotions. Thank you all for a wonderful and comfortable stay.

A pleasant surprise was the presence of the Internet in the transfer. Firstly, from the first minutes you can take your child with gadgets, and secondly, immediately upon arrival you can report to your family and friends that you have landed and are already on the way to the hotel safe and sound.
As for the hotel itself, it is absolutely no frills, but perfect for us in many ways. First, of course, the territory! Green, shady, well-groomed. There are many flowers, there are lawns, wonderful palm trees along the central path, pine trees by the sea, there are even orchards: oranges, pomegranates, pears, it adds a feeling of comfort, and it’s interesting to watch how pomegranate fruits grow, you haven’t seen it before.
Over the past three years, the hotel has undergone many changes, and positive ones. They updated the rooms, made an external open terrace in the restaurant, redesigned the reception, built a small children's water park instead of a tennis court (the court itself was moved 200 m beyond the hotel, which is correct, because the territory is already so small, it's a pity when so many squares are just occupied by asphalt). They updated the furniture in public recreation areas, bought a lot of sun loungers, enlarged the pool bar, which is very important - now there are no queues. After all, this is the only bar that is open in the morning and next to the recreation area (pools and beach). There were always a lot of people in line, because there was only one service place. Now two hands, two bartenders, everything is much faster.
The service in the tavern has improved, now there is a refrigerator with fresh fish and seafood, which can also be ordered the day before, they will be bought and brought! We had such dinners that we envied ourselves. This is the beauty of the half board system - the possibility of choosing at least once a day, and not always being tied to a buffet.
In principle, you can write endlessly. This is all, of course, our subjective opinion. We recommend this hotel for a quiet, measured family vacation.

In the evening it is also beautiful, because everything begins to be illuminated. On the territory there is a tennis court, volleyball courts, several tables for table tennis, a tavern.
Beach. Small, but as it turned out roomy. There were enough sun loungers and umbrellas for everyone. Beach towels were provided on deposit. The entrance to the sea is pebbly, then sand. You can ride a kayak, a cheesecake, catamarans.
Animation. Every day there was something new, both for adults and for children. My daughter did not want to leave the children's club, and when they left, she cried at all. The animators are professionals. They did not let anyone get bored, for which the hotel thanks to them.

At the hotel, I immediately met the hotel guide Yulia, helped with accommodation, showed what and where is and gave brief information about the hotel.
What can I say about the hotel - it is well suited for families and children. Sufficiently large, green, cozy complex, consisting of two-story buildings with rooms. We had a spacious room with a large bed and an extra small one for a child. Shower, bath accessories, hair dryer. The room has air conditioning, TV, mini fridge. The room itself overlooks the sea - in the evenings we admired the colorful landscapes of the sunset.
The food was just great. Breakfasts are a complete delight. Vegetables, fruits, porridge, cereals with milk, eggs in various variations. And every time the child was happy with freshly baked pancakes. Dinners were held on the open veranda near the pool - the choice is rich, and hot, and snacks, and salads, and sweets. Well, for dinner there were different options - in the Greek style, and Italian dishes, and European cuisine. In general, they surprised us as best they could. By the way, I would like to separately mention the waiters - very neat and smiling young people, each time they were there when it was necessary.
The hotel also has good animation - guys and girls entertain tourists all day long, do not let them get bored - with dances, songs and fun. And they are great with kids.
The beach is sandy and pebbly. A little inconvenient, but we solved the problem by purchasing special slippers from the mini market. The sea is clean, fantastic colors. There are sea urchins, but if you are careful and do not step on the stones, you can avoid "acquaintance" with them.
We did not go on excursions, because we devoted our rest entirely to the sea and the sun.
In general, we certainly liked the rest - everything that we expected - we got. And the hotel corresponds to its description and characteristics on the site. So feel free to choose it - you will not regret it!

It is very cozy there, nice cream colors in the interior, soft beds, which is a plus, because last year we rested in another Greek hotel (I won’t say the name, so as not to be considered anti-advertising) and there was a terribly hard mattress on which I couldn't sleep at all. Everything you need was: a bedside table, a bed, a wardrobe for things.
The food at the hotel is amazing! Breakfast had a huge selection of goodies. I really like jams and jams, we were lucky with this: there was jam from figs, apricots, apples, quince, there was honey, chocolate paste and a large selection of yogurts. All this was accompanied by dried apricots, prunes, dried dates and figs. Very tasty and healthy breakfasts at the hotel, although I feel that my extra pounds are thanks to them : ) there were several types of ice cream for dinner. My girlfriend and I went several times to the beach-bar Mikonos in the village of Potidea. Go there for 15-20 minutes on foot from the hotel, the road is not very convenient, but at least some variety in the rest. There are several clubs 20 km from our hotel in the village of Kallithea, but we decided not to spend almost 30 € for a taxi to them one way, so we only went to the Potidaea bars. Our hotel was conveniently located, so we did not get up very early on excursions. We went shopping and to Kastoria for a free trip. For us it was just a paradise, we visited several factories and an exhibition center, tried on about 20 fur coats, were satisfied and even looked after something. We returned there a couple of days later on a minibus and bought a fur coat each (after much persuasion from my husband) : ) I liked the quality of service, I did not regret the purchase at all, they also gave me a souvenir - a fur tail for my purse. You can bargain with sellers, but not very brazenly. They threw me only 200€, and my girlfriends 300€, but I was still very pleased with the purchase! They gave a guarantee that the fur coat could be 'repaired' free of charge, it would be possible to come to clean it and improve it. The service is really on top, very competent escorts explained everything to us in detail. We were very pleased with the rest, we didn’t see very much, but we had a good time! I hope we'll definitely be back.

My husband and child and I vacationed in Greece for the first time, and we want to say that there are no disappointments, on the contrary, we got even more positive! But, as it turned out later, the receptionists thought everything over correctly, since with a stroller it would be quite difficult for us to go up and down the stairs to the bungalow several times a day, and there was an elevator in the central building, which made it quite easy for us to stay with the child. Thanks to everyone and everyone for hospitality, for a good rest, for wonderful Greek evenings, for the warm sea and delicious wine. Immediately upon arrival, you feel care and attention, everyone is trying to make the rest wonderful, fun and memorable, without any unpleasant moments or troubles. Nobody here is afraid to recycle. Everyone offers help and is ready to participate in all our wishes. I would especially like to note at the reception Maya, the hotel guide Yulia, all the cooks for tasty and healthy food, waiters, cleaners, a beach worker - Nikos, animators for fun evenings and outdoor activities in general - they helped us stay in good shape, which is very important with such an abundance of delicious food every day! Everyone's participation played a big role in the fact that we, if possible, will come here again with great pleasure. Great place for a family vacation. We chose this hotel because in 2012 it was reconstructed and updated. The room they offered us was indeed very nice, with new furniture, an updated bathroom and a view of the garden. Even if we couldn't see the sea from our balcony, the sunset was amazing.
We lived in room 159 of the standart category, on the third floor of the second bungalow to the right of the main road. A pleasant surprise was a bottle of wine and fruits that were waiting for us in the room, it was a great end to the first day of rest. Room cleaning was done efficiently and regularly.
The first 5 days we spent on the beach, it is amazing here. A very smooth clean entrance to the sea, without stones and sea urchins, there were almost no waves and, with good visibility, Olympus was visible from the opposite side.
It is very convenient that lunch was held separately from the main restaurant, in a tavern near the pool, overlooking the sea. That is, there was no need to adhere to the dress code, from the sea it was possible to go straight to eat. And also, since both of us work very intensely and constantly in closed office premises, eating in the open area had a very positive effect on the overall assessment of our vacation.
In general, we really liked the food. The variety of dishes in the evening sometimes made me doubt what to prioritize. I wanted to try everything. Many thanks to the chefs, waiters and everyone who provided service and maintenance - everything was at the level.
Back in Moscow, we read information that there are discounts throughout Greece after July 15 and until the end of August. Therefore, we purchased an organized VIP shopping tour and visited the Cosmos shopping center, the new One Salonika outlet, which has just recently opened in Thessaloniki, and the city center itself with its main streets where shops and shopping centers are located. The discounts really work and are very good, we managed to enjoy the shopping process without spending a lot of money.
As a result, we were very pleased with the rest and the services offered by this hotel, but as they say, there is always a little bit of good. We seriously thought about coming here again in September.

The discounts really work and are very good, we managed to enjoy the shopping process without spending a lot of money.
As a result, we were very pleased with the rest and the services offered by this hotel, but as they say, there is always a little bit of good. We seriously thought about coming here again in September.

We have been staying at the Portes Beach Hotel for three years in a row. What I like the most is that guests are very welcome here, they remember everyone, they meet everyone and try to arrange everything so that everyone is comfortable. Since we are now their regular guests, we were immediately provided with a room in which we had rested before and which my family and I really liked.

We have been staying at the Portes Beach Hotel for three years in a row. What I like the most is that guests are very welcome here, they remember everyone, they meet everyone and try to arrange everything so that everyone is comfortable.
Since we are now their regular guests, we were immediately provided with a room in which we had rested before and which my family and I really liked. We were assigned a Superior room and we were perfectly located in room 412, which is located in the main building on the second floor. Very sunny room overlooking the entire hotel.
We first visited Halkidiki and Portes Beach Hotel in 2011. We had a real opportunity to compare it before and after. An enormous amount of work has been done. They really care about the comfort of guests here, during the renovation of the hotel they think through everything to the smallest detail and always take into account the wishes of tourists.
I remember how we expressed a wish in 2013 to change the carpeting in the corridors in the main building and in some rooms, including ours, for how long the carpet retained the smell of chemicals (detergents and cleaners) and there were stains on it, which was very unpleasant observe. We wrote about this in the reviews, and we, and our friends, who rested with us then. Arriving this year, we were pleasantly surprised - on the floors of the main building there was a new tiled floor.
In principle, every time we notice that during the winter here no one wastes time in vain, they constantly update the objects if possible, fill the territory, the premises of the restaurant, tavern, the main building with additional decorative elements that are also useful from the functional side.
We want to express our gratitude to all the staff and management for their work, attention and indifference to their guests.

My daughter and I have just returned from a holiday in Greece. From 06/12/15 to 06/22/15 we stayed at the Portes Beach Hotel and would like to share our impressions of this amazing place. Our room 183 was on the third floor, in a bungalow, to the left of the main central walkway. The location is the best, completely satisfied us, as we were right in the middle.

My daughter and I have just returned from a holiday in Greece. From 06/12/15 to 06/22/15 we stayed at the Portes Beach Hotel and would like to share our impressions of this amazing place.
Our room 183 was on the third floor, in a bungalow, to the left of the main central walkway. The location is the best, completely satisfied us, as we were right in the middle. In opposite directions at the same distance from us were the main restaurant and reception (on the right), the sea, the tavern and the pool (on the left).
The room fully complied with the standard category, new furniture, comfortable mattresses, always clean bathroom, systematic cleaning and change of bed linen and towels. We are very grateful to the girls who always cleaned on time, quickly, efficiently and, most importantly, discreetly.
Most of all we liked the food and animation entertainment. Every day in the restaurant in the open kitchen prepared amazingly delicious dishes from the chef. I would like to separately mention the chef Yorgos himself, his assistant Zarifi and the students who every day spoiled us with fresh exclusive dishes - Sifis, Janis, Chrysula, Nikos and others . . On the eve of our flight, we were lucky to try also a giant ice cream cake - with fruits and fireworks. Special thanks to pastry chef Stratos. It was a real show! We are happy to share photos.
The animation program was rich and varied - morning yoga, water gymnastics in the pool, learning Latin dances made us wake up completely, with benefit and pleasure. Every evening there was a new entertainment program - an evening of cartoons, Mr. and Mrs. Portes Beach, live music, comedy performances, a Greek evening with national dances. We were also lucky because we got to the barbecue. A grandiose action, every 2 weeks takes place in this hotel. Dinner in the open air, around the pool area, a variety of meat dishes cooked in the open air, and until late in the evening, folklore Greek dancers performed national dances.
I would like to note that gratitude applies to everyone who works in this hotel and gives us comfort and pleasure from the rest. Very attentive, polite and indifferent staff, always well-groomed territory, pleasant sincere smiles of employees left a good impression after the end of our holiday, and the desire to return here again as soon as possible.
