The hotel is not 5*. We were in other hotels in Greece that have 5 *, the rooms were always taken by family bungalows, so we have something to compare with. In Kontokali Bay, a family bungalow is a room in which exactly 1 adult bed and 2 children's beds are placed, there is space for movement - a passage from the door to the balcony. Family bungalows are only 1m longer than a regular bungalow. Furniture for lovers of antiques, she is years and years old. The most wonderful thing is a closet with sliding doors, the doors barely move, we pumped up our muscles during the rest. The bathroom is generally a separate song, it is small, the tiles in it are the cheapest, the cast-iron bath is very narrow, when you stand in it under the shower, the drain is constantly closed with your foot. They clean the rooms and the hotel itself with a vile-smelling chemistry. The hall of the hotel is washed with bleach every morning, so it is very pleasant to go to breakfast, the appetite increases. We rested in a large number of hotels, but none of them stank so much of chemistry. The food is "good", but with varying degrees of success, the same dishes today can be delicious, but not tomorrow, cheeses, as for Greece, nasty, fruits, as for Greece, shamefully tasteless and green (during the fruit season they were absolutely green everything, and apples, and peaches, and nectarines, and plums, only pears, to tell the truth, were edible), but watermelons and melons, on the contrary, overripe. There was nothing to eat at the evening of Italian (!!! ) cuisine, even the spaghetti did not look appetizing, the meat was all overcooked with an unrealistic amount of tomato, the pizza was very far from Italian. The best part was a piece of lamb, which, when cut, turned out to be absolutely raw. After a dry wine for 22 euros, I got a headache, then we went to a local store and understood why, because its real price is 3.40 euros. I also want to warn those who decide to go there, the rooms can be with absolutely unpredictable views, a view of the garden - maybe the balcony rests against the path, or in the bushes, behind which there is a fence, the sea view can be above the tavern, in which half a day grilled kebabs and seafood. We were lucky, from our balcony there was access to a large clearing, the children had a place to run, there was a garden behind the clearing, a fence behind the garden, and yacht masts sticking out behind it. Another interesting thing is that we had a room with a view of the garden, and people next room, with the same view as we had with a view of the lagoon. Also, a large and beautiful photo of the hotel, which is posted everywhere on the Internet, slightly corrected on a computer, because the lagoon with yachts is not such a pleasant sight, it is overgrown with algae, looks more like a swamp, behind it is a construction site, and already further away are beautiful and romantic yachts. Now about the good, the area is very green with huge trees, beautiful lianas, the beach is good with clear water and lots of fish, with a large shallow where children splash around, they didn’t even ask for a pool, by the way they have very small one. The playground is open "very conveniently" from 10.00 to 12.00 and from 16.00 to 18.00. More about the staff, the waiters reserve the best tables, those who pay them extra, cleaners like to dodge work, come after dinner, when the children sleep, he apologizes, gives towels, says that he will clean tomorrow.
