I spent my vacation in the summer of 2014 in Greece on Corfu. Before choosing a hotel, I read a lot of reviews, consulted with friends who went to Corfu. Summing up all this, I chose the Loutrouvia Hotel. I arrived at about 2 o'clock in the afternoon. They settled in right away. I had a small room with a balcony overlooking the courtyard. The sunset is unrealistically mesmerizing: just imagine how the sun slowly sinks right behind the mountains, which can be seen directly from the hotel. Very beautiful view, lots of greenery, houses with red roofs. Beauty, in a word. From this side of the hotel it is always quiet and calm, and there is no extraneous noise.
The room is spacious, comfortable, no frills, but has everything you need: air conditioning, bed, mirror, cable TV. The bathroom had a full bath, large and deep. Souls are already tired, to be honest. Cleaning was done every day, linen and towels were changed twice a week. Breakfast is monotonous, but everything is tasty and fresh. There are a lot of cereals on the tables, muesli, fresh vegetables, salads, omelettes, ham, cheese, toast, fruit cut into pieces. I especially liked yogurt at breakfast - incredibly tasty, lively and healthy! There were more dishes for dinner, they serve delicious meat, different every day (pork, lamb and veal). Once a week they give fish dishes and seafood. The cooks cook superbly, with feeling and soul. The sea is awesome, clean, the water is clear, you can see how small fish swim. Sunbeds and umbrellas are paid, either 2 euros, or buy a drink at the bar for the same money. The beach is rocky, but the towel is comfortable. It's not far to the city by bus. Tickets can be bought at the mini market, which is just on the way to the bus stop. I went after breakfast to the church of St. Spyridon. From excursions I went to Meteora, to the survey-pilgrimage "holy places of the island of Kerkyra", swam to the "Blue Lagoon". I learned a lot of interesting and new things for myself. The views are amazing, breathtaking. I dined in the beautiful tavern "At Varvara", the fish served there is excellent! The portions are huge, everything is fresh, tasty and with soul. I went to dances at the neighboring Patomaki Hotel, danced until I dropped for this vacation. Corfu is a wonderful place to stay!
