To begin with, I found the tour in 15 minutes. The previous tour operator scammed us with a tour 2 hours before departure, the train tickets burned down, the hotel reservation burned down, PCR tests were on hand... We had to act quickly. And the options that I came across is the island of Corfu for 8 days, with a departure from our city. Bought without thinking. Our flight is only 2 hours, the transfer from the airport is 15 minutes and we are in the Gouvia area, the Poppy Star hotel. Settled very quickly, a standard room on the second floor, no frills. This hotel offers continental breakfasts (toast, croissants, muffins, coffee, muesli, yogurt, cucumber, tomato and jams).
Walk 5 minutes to the beach along the main street where all kinds of cafes, taverns, souvenir shops, etc. are located. The beach is pebbly, a gorgeous view of the mountains and the opposite part of the bay. You can stay both on pebbles and pay for a sun lounger (4.5 euros per person per day). Uniform entry into the sea, with small children is not scary. On the beach there is a rental service for catamarans, water scooters, saps, etc. (price tag from 15 euros per hour).
We had lunch and dinner in taverns, soups (6-8 euros); gyros from 2.5 to 10 euros; pasta, pizza from 6 euros; b / a drinks from 1.5 euros, alcohol from 5-6 euros. The portions are huge, with each order a present from the institution in the form of fruits, alcohol or sweets for children. There is a supermarket about 700 m away, the prices are reasonable. The tours that the guide offered us start from 45 euros, this did not suit us and we decided to rent a car. Rent for 1 day from 35 euros + gasoline. It cost us 65 euros with gas station and during this day we traveled the whole island, with all the sights (Kerkyra, the Old Fortress, the Temple of St. Spyridon, the Canal of Lovers in Sidari, Paleokastritsa, La Grotta beach, the Fortress of the Angels. We drove along the coast for 2.5 hours , we returned back from Paleokastritsa to Gouvia in 12 minutes, through the mountains. Roads are normal, you can probably say good... definitely not like in Ukraine. Yes, you can’t go fast along the serpentine, but you don’t need it. To rent a car, you need an international license sample is a card, my old sample did not fit in. No deposit was taken from us, although tourists talked about a deposit of 200-300 euros.

On the main street, we found a tour desk, two girls Tina and Nina work (like so, but I could be wrong). Tour prices start from 15 euros. We chose the "Paxos Antipaxos" boat tour for the day. Nice, but after our trip by car. . . not surpassed so to speak.
You need to write about buses. Regular buses run to Corfu, they go often and to all corners. The nearest stop is 5 minutes, the ticket price is from 0.80 euros in the city and from 1.5 euros around the island.
My story has come to an end. The rest was a success, I love Greece and Greek hospitality very much.
