We have been resting with my sister at the Telemachos hotel for a week, on Sunday we go home, but we don’t feel like it. I still want to bask in the rays of the Greek sun and splash in the waters of the Ionian Sea. Madly liked the island of Corfu, picturesque, very green, Venetian architecture, beautiful secluded bays, delicious traditional cuisine.
I would like to tell you a little about the hotel. To be honest, when I read the reviews about the hotel, to put it mildly, I was shocked, although initially when choosing a hotel they were guided by the price, they chose a budget option, so they didn’t count on much (that dust particles would be blown off and champagne with king prawns would be served).
I'll tell you everything in order. We drove from the airport no more than 20 minutes on a group transfer. The organization of the meeting and the service of the hotel guide is just perfect. Thank you for your work and attention. The check-in process was quick, we did not wait, especially since we arrived at the hotel in the evening.

Our room is on the second floor overlooking the pool. Many write that the room is small, but my sister and I have enough space for two, and the bathroom is a little cramped, especially for large persons, I guess. Plumbing, furniture, and, in principle, the entire room is in second-hand condition, but there is nothing so terrible. Clean, although not cleaned every day, but carefully, this week changed linen 2 times. Linen and towels are in good condition. Yes, indeed, air conditioning and the Internet are paid here, but we do not use either one or the other, we are rare guests in the room, and we use the Internet on the beach.
The nearest beach is 10 minutes walk, a little further there is a better beach. But in principle, this is quite enough for us, sunbeds and umbrellas for an additional fee, belong to cafes and taverns, you can also relax on a towel. The water is warm, clean, sand with pebbles. We spend all day here.
The hotel area is small, neat, from entertainment: table tennis and a small pool with fresh water, a relaxation area with sun loungers and a bar (only local drinks: tea, coffee, soft drinks, wine, beer, ouzo).
The food, as for us, is not bad, there is not much choice, but it is tasty. For lunch and dinner, a couple of salads and side dishes, appetizers, meat, chicken or fish. Well, of course, it cannot be compared with local taverns, where you can eat traditional Greek cuisine, which really impressed (moussaka, stifado, pastitsio) and fresh, delicious seafood (seafood pasta, shrimp, squid in batter, etc. ) Breakfasts at the hotel monotonous, but you can have a hearty snack for breakfast: eggs, sausage and cheese cuts, yogurt, cereal, butter, jam, tea, coffee.
There really are mosquitoes here, but this is a natural fact, and even more so the hotel is located on a hill, there is a lot of vegetation. But a quiet and peaceful place, and a fumigator or a spiral can save you from mosquitoes.
There is a bus stop near the hotel, buses run regularly, you can get to the capital of the island, it takes about 30 minutes to go, the ticket costs 2 euros with a penny. We went for a walk on our own once, and so we went with a guide on a sightseeing tour of the island and to Meteora, organization of trips at the highest level, the guides are just great, professionals, charming places, I was especially impressed by Meteora (the rocks on which Orthodox monasteries are located), I advise you to visit .

As for us, the hotel suited us perfectly, given the price we paid, for me it’s better to spend your budget on various excursions, trips, try national cuisine, buy souvenirs home (kumquat liquor and jam, olive oil, olives, cosmetics based on olive butter, Turkish delight, marshmallow, dishes, etc. ). The hotel is recommended for budget travelers.
