Unforgettable vacation
In July we visited the island of Corfu, Greece. Although we got into a very hot period, the heat did not prevent us from enjoying our vacation)) We stayed at the Aeolos Beach Hotel on the recommendation of our friends. The location of the hotel, food, beach, entertainment (although more for children) I liked everything, only Wi-Fi was weak, but we were not upset, because we came to relax and enjoy the sea and nature. And the nature there is amazing, especially in Paleokastritsa! Greenery everywhere! The eyes rejoiced. Probably next time we will choose a hotel there, although our guide from Canulas Travel, with whom we went on excursions around the island, said that hotels in Paleokastritsa need to be booked almost a year in advance. In addition to Paleokastritsa, we also visited the Achilleo Palace. A very beautiful building with a rich history, that we learned interesting facts from the guide about the palace itself and about the island as a whole. I advise you to definitely visit the city of Kerkyra, as the locals call the city of Corfu. Authentic city, with 2 fortresses. We walked around the old fortress and the streets of the city and of course visited the church of St. Spyridon. The queue is very long, and it took a lot of time just to visit the temple. Not far from our hotel was the village of Benitses. We went there for 1 day, but I’ll say right away that it’s not worth it. Tourist village, we regretted it, it would have been better to spend time on the beach of our hotel. As I already wrote, we went on excursions around the island, and were very satisfied, if we had been more than 1 week, we would have gone to Meteora and holy places, of course, with Canulas Travel. And of course, the locals, the Greeks are cheerful people, always happy to help, friendly. We hope to follow. year will be able to visit once again on this amazing island!
