review of Corfu
He lived in the Sea Bird 2 * hotel, in a village called Moraitika, which is located 20 km south of the airport. I will say right away that the place is very mediocre. Ordinary sea, sandy beach, on which you need to walk 50 meters to have a normal depth. The village itself is quiet, there is absolutely nothing to do there. There is one village disco, where there are almost no people. And that's all… Despite the fact that the hotel was not bad, they cleaned every day, the rooms are renovated, everything is new, the food is so-so, I was disappointed. I do not advise anyone to come to rest in hotels located on the coast from Corfu airport to Moraitika and beyond, because you will not see beauty there, by the way, you will not meet young people either, there is nothing to do at all.
About places:
Paleokastritsa : Paleokastritsa is the most beautiful place on the island - rocks, clear water, magnificent landscapes. This is the real Corfu! It's better to stay there. Of the minuses - there is cool water, in some places even cold due to currents.
Love Canal: also worth a visit, you can jump from cliffs 5-12 meters high, and in general it’s not bad there.
Kavos: as I was told, this is a party place, young people gather, mostly Italians.
I advise you to visit the passage, which is located in front of the airport, from the sea. Planes land there 30 meters above you, believe me, the impressions are very cool) !!
In the water park - go, after all, one of the best in Europe.
I took a scooter, the price for them is 12-15 euros per day, excluding gasoline. Gasoline on the island costs 1.6 euros per liter on average. A license is required for a scooter, I had a B *, there were no complaints.
In general, I advise you to choose a hotel in Paleokastritsa.
