We rested in the Royal Park from August 7 to 21.2009. Two adults and two children - 10 years and 1 year and 9 months. The host is Fenix, the ticket was bought at Alga Travel. The impression from the host is extremely negative, the representative did not immediately "found" at the exit from the airport, because she was busy talking with taxi drivers. She spoke English with difficulty, only with a joyful smile put us in a taxi and sent us (there was apparently no question of being present during the placement). When placing it, it turned out that the booked Family Bungalow was not free, so the management literally forced us to check into an interconnected double in order to check into our room the next day (however, they let us choose the location and offered a free car for 3 days as compensation). So a day and a half was spoiled by unpacking - packing things, moving from one room to another. Interconnected consists of two tiny double rooms, the double bed rests against the walls - in order to put a baby cot, one bed had to be taken out. So I strongly advise against booking the smallest double.
Family bungalow on the ground floor, which we later moved to, is very successful - two rooms with sliding doors. In the nursery there are two separate beds, and a playpen for the baby was also placed there. From the nursery - a full-length window overlooks the lawn with sun loungers and an umbrella. For the youngest it was just wonderful, you can run on the lawn. Although not all bungalows have such space - some have rather meager lawn space, and there is also a tendency to settle Russians in bungalows with access to the pool, where music rumbles during the day and poolside guests sit almost in front of their noses (with a small child who sleeps during the day, there will be not very convenient). There are no pots in the rooms (only two for the entire hotel). There are mosquitoes in the rooms (there are fumigators).
The hotel is stretched towards the sea - from the main building (next to the scene for animation) to the sea. There is a road in front of the sea, but very "inconspicuous", since it is near the hotel that it sinks into a dead end.
There is a restaurant in the main building, next to it there are two swimming pools - for kids and adults. Near the sea there are three swimming pools (one with two slides, one for kids and one for adults) and a tavern. Pancakes are baked in the tavern during the day, there is ice cream, a bar. In the evening you can have dinner by appointment. In the pools near the sea in the morning animation. The beach is sandy, the sea is constantly windy, only a couple of days it was calm. Therefore, the Germans basically all lie by the pool, there in the morning all the sunbeds are already occupied, and on the sea you can always find a free sunbed. Because of the constant waves, algae periodically beats, but not very much. The entrance is sandy, but after a meter it gets deeper and there are stones, so the children won’t splash too much (although with such excitement this is already so problematic). After 15-20 meters (you need to swim / go through a deep section) a shallow, there is wonderful sand and you can swing on the waves. Great for adults and older kids. If you go far to the left, beyond the kiting zone, sand goes into the sea for a long time, but there are no sun loungers and umbrellas. On the right on the beach there is a surfing station, you can get a license for 200 euros or just try it once. The entertainment is wonderful, even with a small child they had time, the lesson was 1.5 hours. The beach is clean, cleaned in the morning. Since the wind is constantly - not hot, very comfortable.
The food at the hotel is not bad, although compared to some other hotels, the choice is not very large. But everything is delicious, the restaurant is clean. There is a so-called. "Children's table" - in the morning and in the evening. In the morning - vanilla cream, oranges, apples, kiwi, pomemors, sometimes sausages. In the evening, soup, mashed potatoes, grated vegetables (but ours did not eat, very specific), fries are added. No porridge, sometimes rice pudding for breakfast. So, whoever is used to giving porridge to a child in the morning, I advise you to take it with you. For breakfast there is thick yogurt, we took it in a container with us to the room, for an afternoon snack we added a jar of fruit to it - very successful. The shop at the hotel has baby food (!!! ) - cans of meat ground to zero with vegetables (beef and chicken), as well as cans of fruit. The child could always be occupied with ice cream or fruit. For lunch and dinner, peaches, grapes, nectarines, apples, pears, watermelon and melon.
Animation is all in German. There are two girls from Ukraine, but they are quite independent from the German animators, the eldest daughter disappeared with them during the day, constantly doing crafts, playing, she really liked it. But all active entertainment, disco and shows are in German, TUI club.
Of the places we went to - Kos, Therma, Kardamena, the beach near Kefalos. Thermal baths advise, interesting, better in the evening and later. Kardamena - there is nothing special to see, the beaches are not outstanding. But if you go in the direction of Kefalos, there will be very beautiful beaches on the left side - there are signs along the road for them. We were on Camel Beach (Kamila), the road down is spectacular, but the beach is very beautiful.
