I rested (if I may say so) at the beginning of June, 2 weeks, with my husband and two children (4 and 7 years old) at the Atlantica Club Porto Bello Beach 4 * hotel. We went to Greece to Kos, instead of Turkey, because where we would like, it was very expensive. And sorry...
We flew from Domodedovo, with the Transaero company, with this self-registration, I ruined all my nerves. It gave out seats, one at a time throughout the plane (and I'm flying with small children! ), I had to contact the desk several times until they checked us in themselves. And with an already spoiled mood, she boarded the plane. The children were given a box of mini-entertainments. We flew for 3 hours. We arrived in the evening. We waited in line for more than an hour to check in. Tour operator Biblio-Globus. There were no problems with him.
We arrived at the hotel in the dark. We immediately went to dinner. At the reception, only one speaks Russian, and that is very bad. But there were no language problems. Upon check-in, we were offered to pay 185 euros and settle in a two-room apartment with a sea view.

The toad strangled and we refused. They settled us in a one-room apartment, as it should be. On the second floor. Next to the main building. In front of the windows, buses drove up with vacationers. The room is large (compared to Turkish) and it makes no sense to pay extra. The loggia is large with chairs and tables. In the evening you watch how everyone goes to the “local concert”. For children, folding beds, uncomfortable, the seam dug in at the level of the ridge. The double bed is narrow. There is a lot of furniture in the room, 2 closets, a sofa, a table, a dressing table… There is a small window in the bathroom. Shampoo, soap, etc. all brought. Safe for a fee, for 2 weeks - 35 euros. like. The air conditioner was located against the children, and it worked poorly, we had to open the doors to the balcony at night. There are no nets. When the wind died down, mosquitoes flew in. You can hear the buses running. And most importantly, planes fly right overhead all night. And until one in the morning, like, music from a nearby hotel. Over time, you get used to it, but it's not comfortable.
It was hard for me to sleep, a sensitive dream. I thought about changing but didn't. Since the sun did not directly shine in the room for us all day, so it was not stuffy. Only cleanly from this point of view, the room is conveniently located. Cleaned every day, in the morning, as soon as we left.
We arrived in the evening, the children were thirsty, there was nothing in the mini bar, they didn’t find any cold water in the restaurant either, there were no take-out glasses, there were no bottles of water anywhere either, we went to the store to buy! Then we were told that you can come with your container to the restaurant and pour from the type of colors there. In general, not very convenient.
Since there are few Russian vacationers, Germans, French, British, many pensioners are not ours, there are not very many with children, there have always been places in the restaurant. The food is not as varied as in Turkey, but generally ok. Children have something to eat, but not very small ones. The only thing was that there was nothing special to eat during the day.
On the beach at the bar during the day, ice cream, apples and type of sandwiches and water are different. In general, you will not get fat.
In the morning the sunbeds were free by the pool and on the beach, foreigners were in no hurry to take them, unlike ours. Those from morning to evening hung in bars. The sea water pool was not heated, not for adults, not for children. It was cold to swim. The water is very salty. There was a deposit of 10 euros for a towel. On the beach, Russian towels disappeared. Nefig they sun loungers to occupy in their absence. You can change on certain days. We dried on the balcony on chairs, because there were no dryers.

We didn’t actually swim in the sea, it was cold and the wind was constantly strong, which was very annoying. On the beach there is a playground, which is almost always empty. Because there was no canopy or shade. And in the evening, too, you can’t take a walk there, because the wind was so strong that you had to warm yourself.
And they took mostly light things, they thought it would be warm, how it would be in Turkey. The beach is sandy, but dirty, because there were few urns. But better than in the neighboring hotels Atlantica Porto Bello Royal. Where you could go and have a look. Feet from the sand could be washed off only in one place, at the bar, and since the shower is located at head level, and if you remember about the wind, then everything was washed except for the feet. People were fishing on the pier. We went to look at schools of fish eating bread.
The territory is small, nowhere to walk, but green and beautiful. Unlike the neighboring hotel.
Wi-Fi was bad in the lobby. Russian cocktails, some barmaids did carelessly.
There was some animation. We didn't go, I don't know exactly what. Kids club, where there were only foreign children. Music was turned on just before dinner. And the silence is depressing.
There is a free shuttle from the hotel several times a day. The schedule is not very convenient. The paid buses are almost the same. Taxi is expensive. 10 euros to Kardamene.

And there to go 5 minutes, 3 km. Have been to Kardamena a couple of times. Tiny city. 2.5 main streets with shops and a promenade with cafes. The prices are normal. Cheaper than in Kos itself. Before 10 am there is nothing to do there. All closed. At 5 o'clock they start to close. And the buses run from 8.22. What for? ! The main thing is that if you come in the morning to wander around Kardamena, the bus will pick you up, only after lunch! So once we mixed up the buses, we wanted to go to Kos, and sat down in Kardamena, we forgot the schedule. We wandered and went on foot to the hotel, reached in half an hour. Walked because of another toad. Passed by neighboring hotels, people went to the beach across the road, going down the mountain, the beach itself is narrow. In the city itself, if you go deeper, there are also small beaches. The city itself is somehow unattractive, the houses are shabby. You can rent a room right in the city. There are supermarkets.
We went to Kos. We walked for 4 hours. Book a bus to the hotel.
You can do it yourself, on transfer buses, for the price it turns out almost the same, only hemorrhoids. Nice town, with many restaurants and shops, there is McDonald's. We took a ride on a sightseeing train, there are three types of them, with different routes. The locals are very friendly, they speak English, there are Russian sellers, but very few.
You can rent a car, the price is acceptable, but we did not take the right. Maybe our Russian ones. ATVs without a license, but not safe with children.
In the hotel itself, no one bothers you with anything. The tour operator was almost constant. We didn't go on excursions. Although it was attractive to Rhodes. But with children they abstained.
We flew out after dinner, paid extra like 20 euros to keep the room until the evening. You won’t sit with your children in the sun or in the foyer until departure. Arrived at night, took a taxi City.
Summarizing.
I described as detailed as I could, without prejudice, I could write a little inaccurately at prices, a lot of time passed, I forgot. Retirement vacation. It has never happened before that I could not wait until I leave the sea. The hotel itself is good, although with small flaws, it's just not to our liking. Didn't like the holiday. The only reassuring thing was that there were unrest in Turkey at that time. It would be better if they waved to Crete .. .
