We rested at the ARIS STUDIOS hotel last year. The decision to rest at the end of May was not taken by chance. Quietness and tranquility - that's what we have been missing especially lately. This place in the very south of the Peloponnese was recommended to us by friends who had visited it earlier. The sea is nearby, there is silence around, green mountains and hills, the picture is soothing!
We were seated pretty quickly. The owner of the hotel gave us the keys and led us to our room, which was located on the second floor of the villa. Rather, not villas, but tower houses built of natural stone. The Dutch lived on the first floor, but we never saw them. So enjoy the silence. It is convenient when there are only two rooms in the building and no one wakes you up at night.
There were no problems with communication. The hotel staff spoke Russian and everyone was happy to help us in everything, after all - fellow countrymen...

A little about the room. The room was 2-room, overlooking the sea. Rather, the view of the sea was from the balcony of the living room, the view of the mountains - from the balcony of the bedroom. Beautiful.
The living room was with a kitchen, where there were all the necessary utensils: a kettle, a coffee maker, a toaster, dishes and a basket with coffee, tea, sugar, honey, jam and cookies. Also, the hostess regularly brought us fresh eggs (thanks to her, we are egg lovers) and homemade wine and oil. There was an ironing board and iron. The room was cleaned every day or so it seemed to me, because it was always clean. Towels were changed every day, that's for sure. Bed linen - every third day. So there were no problems with cleanliness, as well as with the Internet.
The hotel area is not big, but cozy. There were not many people in the hotel, so the pool was only ours. Go to the sea - no problem, in about three minutes you get to the local beach, about 2 km long, the bottom of the sea is sandy, the coast is covered with small smooth pebbles, you can sunbathe on it without a sun lounger.
True to the organized beach you need to walk a little. In front of the hotel there is only a water sports base.
We bought food, bread, fruits and vegetables in a small market, which is located in the center of the village. Sometimes they cooked themselves, but mostly they dined in the taverns of the village. Food could also be ordered to your room from a nearby tavern. Twice we did so, tired after visiting the sights.
The downside was that the village is small and does not have an abundance of entertainment. But having a rented car, they can be found in neighboring towns. In the evenings we went to Gifio (about ten minutes) or Areopoli, where we had a good time.

From the sights left a lot of impressions! For example, the grandiose stalactite caves of Diru. According to legend, this is the gate of Hades (the entrance to the next world). This is the first time I have visited such caves! A boat trip on an underground lake among stalactites was fascinating and a little scary, some kind of surrealism! We visited the rock city of Monemvasia, Sparta, Mystras and even got to Ancient Olympia! In general, we were satisfied with the rest, and we wish you the same!
