The 3 * hotel fully corresponds to the declared category. For the money, you won't find better. Let's start with the resort. Tolo is a small town in the southern part of the Peloponnese peninsula, located in a cozy quiet harbor, from Athens it is about 140 km or 1 hour 30 minutes on a toll road, where the speed limit is 130, from Nafplion 11 km.
The water is so clean and transparent that in my rich experience as a traveler I see this almost for the first time. Even sailing far from the shore, you can see the bottom. There are no strong waves in principle, therefore it’s the best thing to relax with a child. The hotel stands right on the shore, which is important, there is a narrow strip between the hotel and the sea, along which only one person can walk, and therefore, under the windows, no one sunbathes or swims, and you can’t hear the joyful cries of vacationers. Our room overlooked the sea and only one view can forgive all the disadvantages of the hotel.
Going out onto the balcony in the evening, a truly divine picture opened up to the eye - the sea and a small island with a church, which, starting in the evening and all night, were effectively illuminated by spotlights. We swam mainly near the hotel - no one swims on this part and you could lie on the beach almost all alone. Although if you walk 300 meters, then there is nowhere to step, although there is a sandy beach. We also had a sandy one, but with small stones, In addition, with huge slabs going from the coast and going into the sea (probably they serve as breakwaters, or maybe they were specially built by the hotel to enter the sea. The hotel has a second building, which is newer and there will be a view of the street or the mountains. We were in the very heat, because for us it was fundamentally a room only on the sea, it was only because of him that we went, you can say. The fact that they have pictures on the Internet site is true .

If you can take it with food, I advise you to take it with food. In restaurants it will be much more expensive. We had breakfast and dinner. Lunch in restaurants for less than 23-25 euros did not come out, taking into account the fact that they took Greek salad, moussaka (this is like our potato casserole with meat) and something to drink for two. True, the portions are huge. As for the food at the hotel ...I tell you in detail so that you can clearly imagine what to expect.
Breakfast - a buffet consisting of: about 10 types of all kinds of cookies, bread sticks, freshly baked rolls and muffins, coffee-tea, milk, two types of cereals (corn and oatmeal without additives and any chemicals), scrambled eggs or fried eggs, sausages, just boiled eggs , cucumbers-tomatoes-bell peppers, olives, yogurt or home-made sour cream, sausage-ham (although I don’t eat it at all, because it didn’t seem very edible to taste)), two types of cheese, well, different types of bread for toast, two kind of homemade jam in addition to jams, honey and oils in mini-packages. Well, for three stars, I think it's quite good. Dinner: tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, peppers, onions, sometimes Greek salad, pickled beets, coleslaw with carrots, sometimes carrots, in a word, all kinds of vegetables.
Hot - there were always various stewed vegetables, mostly legumes (very tasty), sometimes there were artichokes (for me they seemed sour and therefore not edible)), fried chicken or fish, two or three types of meat (such as goulash, steaks or with any gravy). Garnish - potatoes, rice, pasta. I didn’t like that sometimes, apparently, lemon juice was added to the stewed potatoes, because it became some kind of sour. I don't eat this. But for french fries lovers - it was always with the expected taste, so ...They do not drink tea after a meal. If you order - 2.5 Euro for a kettle with a bag of Lipton.
What is very captivating is the staff. Starting from those who clean the room (they clean every day well, towels are changed every day, bed linen - 1 time in 4 somewhere in the day), although if they see that they have polluted something, they will change it anyway.

Our faucet somehow broke, or rather below, something flew off, although the faucet worked as usual, on the same day, as we returned from the sea, we found a completely replaced faucet and a basket of peaches (that day we did not go to breakfast , maybe in connection with this) The room had air conditioning, despite the fact that it looked rather ancient, it cooled better than any new one. Without air conditioning, in my opinion, during such a period it is not possible at all even for the most unpretentious tourist. There were never Russians there, but on our arrival there was the first group of some Russian aunts. The sight is not for the faint of heart. The queue in front of the door of the restaurant 10 minutes before the start of the official dinner lined up every day with enviable constancy. Looking at them, you realize with sadness that it will take our citizens for a long time to squeeze out of themselves the craving for queues and the desire to shove even what you don’t want for free and take away with you three days in advance.
The heavy legacy of the scoop. True, they did not have to be seen for long, about 5 days, after which none of the Russians were there. Although, as we were told, Russians are loved there, unlike Germans and Americans. If we talk about the cons, another one is the curtain in the bathroom. The bath is a little cramped and therefore I had to wash without a curtain, which is not so scary of course, because the water flows into the drain on the floor, or the curtain touches you disgustingly)) But I'm picky, my husband didn't even notice it. We just never went to three stars, this year we decided to roll up on a budget and, of course, bribed the view from the room. I wanted to lie on a bed with an open balcony door and listen and look at the sea ...and a tulle curtain so that it swayed in the wind ... ))) and the hot sea. That's what I wanted to get from the rest.
Well, finishing my story, I cannot but answer Dimitris, the owner of the hotel. He literally treated us like family.
My husband and I, in principle, are not very sociable, and we are not particularly looking for communication on vacation, but it is impossible not to make friends with him. Constantly smiling and always treating us to drinks, giving advice on what else we need to see interesting, he tried his best to make our vacation unforgettable. It was already embarrassing for us to meet him in the evening, because he began to treat us with all sorts of cocktails and wines, and categorically did not let us pay. As well as for the Internet (which is there 2 Euro for 30 minutes). On the day of departure, he gave us a bunch of gifts ...wine ..

He constantly invited us to his other hotel, where there is a pool, to swim there. True, we don’t understand what the thrill of swimming in the pool is when there is such a clean and hot sea . . but that’s another question))). Maybe because of this attitude, despite the 3 stars, the impression was very warm and pleasant. Moreover, as we noticed, he has such an attitude towards all guests.
(What family hotels are good for is their attitude towards the tourist as a family guest. At the same time, if you want noisy discos and big city traffic, Tolo has a huge number of nightclubs, although you don’t really feel the noise from them on the main streets).
In our understanding, the owner of a hotel chain is an uncle driving around in an expensive car and one who is hardly seen wiping up spilled coffee in the lobby or standing at the reception. He is exactly like that. In general, they have a very developed nepotism there and without show-off, all relatives and all family establishments. And therefore, it is better to take all excursions (unless you take a car), take cruises from him. For the price - the same, for convenience - much better.
And also, give him greetings from Irina and Dmitry from Moscow, I think that a good reception is guaranteed for you)) Good luck to everyone.
