We rested with my mother at the Edem Holiday Club in June 2017, the Olympic Beach area, Paralia Katerini. Olympic Beach is a wonderful district of Paralia Katerini, also a resort settlement. The hotel is located on the first coastline of the Aegean Sea. All rooms are located in hotel houses, which gives a certain flavor to the hotel. Since each room has its own little house, the hotel is quite quiet, you can always hear the birds singing.
The hotel has a swimming pool, where all the guests of Edem meet. There is always fun, music is playing, a swimming coach for children comes at certain hours. By the way, the hotel has a lot of vacationers with kids, because the hotel has a fairly large green area with a playground. The sea is right across the road from the hotel restaurant and the pool, it is very convenient not to choose where to swim - in the pool or the sea, because everything is nearby. The sea is very warm, there was a beach bar of our hotel on the beach. There you could sit on sun loungers under an umbrella and order food / drinks from the kitchen of our own hotel.
Speaking of food, we only took breakfast. Breakfast at the hotel is continental, mostly omelettes, vegetables, cold meats, cereals, milk, cheese, yoghurts and pastries. Everything was fresh and tasty. You can have breakfast both indoors and on the terrace overlooking the sea. We have always chosen the second option.

The room was cleaned every day, towels and bed linen were changed. The staff takes care of cleaning quite responsibly, the room was always clean. There is a small refrigerator, as well as a TV with a Russian channel.
When we wanted to take a break from a peaceful holiday beach-pool-restaurant, we went out and walked around. There are many tourists, shops, fruit and souvenir shops on the street. Nearby is Paralia Katerini, where we also walked several times a week. The distance to the neighboring resort town is about 2 km, it is not at all difficult to go there, and even pleasant, because the path lies through a beautiful path near the seashore, where you can enjoy the sunsets and the smell of the sea. You can also get to Parali by bus, which stops near the hotel, or by tourist train (like in our children's parks, but not children, but tourists of all ages go there).
The holiday turned out to be very relaxing and varied. An ideal place where neither me nor my mother was bored.
