I am writing this review while still at the hotel. Fortunately, wi-fi is ubiquitous here, which I am immensely glad about)). We went with a phoenix tour, everything seems to be fine, we met and how they pick it up, we'll see. A Russian-speaking girl met us at the reception, settled us and told us the main things. The hotel is very beautiful and colorful, without pretentiousness, the colors are selected bright and delight the eye, and the night lighting creates a simply magical atmosphere. It's outside, they put us in a two-story suite, overlooking a side street, it didn't cause any inconvenience, because thickets of some kind of trees grow in front of the hotel, and there's a lot of traffic here on all the streets of the city, so there's nothing to be done) ). The room itself is very decent, a kitchen with a full set of dishes and appliances, a TV with 2 Russian channels, DVD and music.
the center, the bedroom is cozy, a bit in the Provence style, and the bathroom is also all right (the bathroom itself with hydromassage, but it’s not clear why it’s needed, it takes a long time to fill, and there are not enough nozzles for a full-fledged hydromassage). They clean the room every day, towels every other day, and beach towels when you want from the maid, ...well, they don't clean very well. Minus in monotonous food, more precisely in breakfast, but I have enough different crunches and head to head, but my husband is a little dissatisfied. For dinner we mostly go to la mare, it was already mentioned here, a wonderful tavern, with a menu in Russian and a little Russian-speaking waitress-laugher. (they have an amazing memory for faces, they remembered us from the first time and even names, what kind of beer we like))).
Another cool restaurant Manolis Pleace (somehow) there is a crazy colorful Greek owner with amazing hair from the 80s and a huge mustache, he drinks 30 grams of ouzu with every guest who has finished the meal and will definitely find something to talk about, we he kept talking about working girls from Ukraine and only then they bring the bill. The beach at the hotel is normal, it seems to be the only one on the entire coast of Rethymnon, sometimes they ask for a room number, there is no shortage of sun loungers, although the hotel is completely full, and when we arrived there were almost no Russians, and now almost all of them. We rented a car for 3 days, we think we can still take it, it’s a painfully beautiful island and there are still a lot of interesting places, yesterday we were on Elafonis, a magical place, the sea is amazingly beautiful, and the road both there and back (driving in different ways) is breathtaking.

Rethymnon is of course a beautiful city, but 2 weeks will be a bit boring here, so without a car, no way

And in the hotel it captivates that it is unobtrusive and open ...and while it causes only positive emotions, there are still 6 days ahead, we'll see)))
