We rested last autumn, in September. The weather was just super, not very hot, but not cold yet, just what we needed. Himself about. I really liked Crete, you can travel around the towns and see, it's very interesting.
Regarding the Iberostar hotel:
1) location: convenient, close to Rethymnon and other towns. The hotel grounds are simply gorgeous, large and beautifully planted with plants and trees. Awesome beautiful.
2) On the territory of the hotel there are two swimming pools for adults + a swimming pool for children, which is convenient, because parents with children do not interfere with your rest if you are without children. The water, however, is chlorinated, but it didn’t spoil my vacation, because there were much more good things.
3) Animation is, not very intrusive, just what you need. There are free aerobics and a fitness center (for a fee).
4) The food is very good. Everything was delicious and well prepared.

Personally, I really liked natural yoghurts and cheeses (such as feta, only a lot of varieties) made from goat's milk. They also have very tasty fresh figs. For breakfast, my husband took a freshly baked corrugated waffle and poured it with maple syrup (agree, not bad for a four). There is also a chic selection of pastries and desserts, including all kinds of dairy puddings and low-fat desserts. The only thing that confused me a little: they have a problem with coffee. Be sure to buy home local Cretan honey (you rarely find such real mountain honey here) and, of course, olive oil. And I also really liked the sun-dried tomatoes of their local preparation, the Greeks consider them their traditional dish.
4) Hotel rooms: we had an ordinary standard - everything was fine. Fairly new furniture, plumbing, air conditioning worked well. Wide balcony with furniture and clothes dryer. The sea view is beautiful.
Nothing supernatural can be said about the number, but for a four, a very good level. There are also bungalows on site, they say they are better there. But we weren't there, so we can't say anything.
5) Sea: there is no direct access to the sea, but there are small coves. I really liked these coves, because, firstly, they are very beautiful, and secondly, they are unusual. So I still don’t swim away more than 20 meters from the coast, I felt good in these coves. In general, it’s better to look at the pictures on the Iberostar website in order to better understand what these bays are like.
6) Climate: Mediterranean, just wonderful. In September, the tan turned out great and lasted a very long time! Personally, I felt that the air was better, because the skin on my face immediately freshened up. Well, again, in September the weather was just a fairy tale.
I would love to go to Greece again, on about. Crete.
