We rested with a company of three employees and two adult 14 year old children. In our opinion, Rethymno Bay is very well located, almost all hotels are separated from the beach by a road along which cars and motorcycles scurry back and forth. Our hotel was located on the seashore, in a fairly quiet place where you could sleep at night, and if you want to hang out 30-40 minutes walk and you are in the city center. . . Food at the hotel, of course, is not diverse, but it is actually not necessary, there are cafes and taverns at every step. Our company dined at the hotel three times during the entire stay. We rented bikes and toured the area. . . Nature is great! Deciding to save money and see more, we rented a car. It is really beneficial if you are traveling with a company. But there is something to see in Rethymnon, so we first examined the nearby interesting places. The attraction of Rethymno is the Venetian fortress (1573–1580), from where a magnificent view of the sea opens, it is very beautiful and there are different illuminations day and night, many streets resemble Venice, narrow ones... In general, we did not sit still. . . Therefore, we were completely satisfied with the hotel. . . I really liked the city of Chania. Visiting the Palace of Knossos is a matter of honor, we were without an excursion, we just bought a book in Russian in a nearby store, and gave ourselves a tour. An excursion to the Samaria Gorge can deliver a lot of impressions, if you are not afraid of the cost, and the prospect of walking 20 km. over the mountains. Have a good rest!
