We rested with our 6-year-old son at the Rethymnon Mare Royal Hotel. In general, everything was good. The hotel is located in the village of Skaleta. Quiet place. There are a couple of mini markets, a few taverns and, perhaps, that's all. Therefore, we went for a walk to the city of Rethymnon. It is 12 km from the hotel. There is a regular bus, though not always on schedule. We arrived in the evening and were immediately taken to dinner. The next day we met with our guide. She told us about the hotel and excursions. A big plus is that she was always in the hotel. Therefore, any of our questions were resolved immediately. We had previously rested in Crete, only in its eastern part. Therefore, from the excursions we chose that to the west. And, of course, Santorini. I liked everything very much: organization, guides, delicious meals on excursions. Of course, the food is good, tasty, but I would like more choice, because I could not always choose food for the child. BUT about but for lunch and dinner there were always soups. The beach is sandy, but the entry into the sea is rocks. We walked a little further to the right of our beach, where entry into the water was better, but there were no sunbeds, we took towels with us. We saw that on our beach people swim in special slippers, you know, special ones for swimming. They are definitely sold in a minimarket in the village, somehow one day I caught my eye on them. There was children's animation, there is a Russian-speaking girl. During the day they played ping-pong and volleyball, and there was gymnastics by the pool, and in the evening there was a mini-disco. And the rest is all right.
