Rested in Orion from 18 to 28 May. The hotel is small, quiet and comfortable. We arrived at 10 am, we were met by the guide Victoria (a very friendly, pleasant girl), who briefly told about the hotel, took us to the bar, where we drank tea and toast and received the keys to the room in just an hour, which made us very happy. The room is modest, inside the TV, refrigerator, safe (paid), there is a bathroom! In the evening, Victoria told about the country, excursions. . . Excursions from the hotel are expensive, on the street you can find 2 times cheaper, except for Santorini. The price for it is the same everywhere (135 euros + 12 euros by ferry). A friend went, she liked it, but it takes the whole day (left at 7 in the morning, returned at 23). Time in Greece is one hour behind. The food is varied, a good selection of meat and there is always fish, there is little seafood, only apples, pears, oranges, desserts for a C grade and there is no choice. Alcohol in the bar of foreign origin is free. There is no entertainment, except for karaoke, national dances (but this is not every day). Sun loungers by the pool are free of charge (but take a towel with you, they are not given out), you can also play table tennis for free. At the reception there are games (dominoes, backgammon. . . ) - free of charge. We went to the sea through the Eva Bay hotel (it is located across the street). We used the sunbeds of this hotel (because we were not kicked out at the beginning of the season), and the sunbeds are chargeable (6-7 euros per day). The beach has sand that turns into pebbles. To swim or wander along the shore, I recommend purchasing special shoes. The sea is clean and beautiful. But cool. Mostly pensioners or couples rest in hotels. Lots of Brits and French. We had one incident. The Russian guys accidentally dropped a glass near the pool, it broke and the fragments fell into the pool or could have got into it (they don’t understand), they were given a fine of 500 euros. Then I heard the same story from others. In any hotel, for a broken glass near the pool, a fine of 500 euros (since they call the special service to clean the pool). Be careful!! ! The nearest town of Rethymnon is 6 km away. Stop near the hotel, but to get on the bus you need to buy a ticket in any supermarket for 1 euro 20 cents. They won’t put you in without a ticket, you don’t have to offer money to the driver - they won’t take it. Souvenirs can be bought near the hotel, the prices are the same as in the city. so it makes no sense to drag them when you can buy next to the hotel. Car rental for a day costs 40 euros, from Pegasus - 100 euros. Have a nice holiday!! !
