The only problem for our tourist is to collect documents for obtaining a Schengen visa and get this very visa, but Greece is worth it. This is an unforgettable vacation!
Crete - the largest island of Greece - According to legend, the main Hellenic god, Zeus, was born in Crete, and this myth reflects the role of the island in the Mediterranean. It is the cradle of the oldest European culture since 2600 BC. The ruins of temples and palaces of that time have been preserved on the island, the most famous of which is the Palace of Knossos or the Labyrinth of the Minotaur. Crete has conditions for any vacation: from luxurious hotels, snow-white Cretan-style bungalows to secluded, pristine places. You can use the services of guides or rent a car and drive around the island on your own. Holidays for every taste!
Crete is divided into East and West. For a luxurious holiday, hotels of the Grecotel, Aldemar, Elounda, Capsis, etc. chains are suitable. Each tourist will find a hotel to his taste.

During the inspection of the island, our group stayed in four hotels for three days, from which I draw conclusions. The most hospitable were the hotels in which "KALAMAKI TRAVEL" settled, this is the host country in Crete, very hospitable, with good guides and guides. When booking a tour, you need to find out the host, your vacation depends on it. We had two operators - Kalamaki is much better.
So the SENSIMAR ROYAL BLUE RESORT & SPA 4 + * hotel, some rate it as 5 *. The hotel deserves more in terms of food, rooms, territory and landscaping. We have never seen so many flowers anywhere else. The beach is slightly inferior - not a sandy entry into the sea, but there is also a small pontoon. But what a review - beauty.
The next hotel is GRECOTEL CRETA PALACE 5* De Luxe, a hotel for an intelligent tourist! Everything here is at a high level: the kitchen, the territory, the pools, the rooms, the beach, there is a wonderful mini-club where children can eat all day for free, excellent evening shows. Needless to say - Greek Hotel 5 *!
I really liked ALDEMAR ROYAL MARE 5 * De Luxe, a huge beautiful area, all rooms are bungalow type, cleaning 2 times a day, pools with sea water, delicious cuisine and a wonderful beach. Suitable for different tourists, including those with small children.
The last hotel on our tour was OUT OF THE BLUE CAPSIS ELITE RESORT 5* De Luxe. This is a hotel complex, which consists of five hotels. The most economical is Oasis, then Ruby Red and Crystal, VIP villas.
The hotel occupies a whole peninsula, has several beaches. A very beautiful area - a botanical garden, a small zoo, a mini-club in the form of the Knossos Palace, good restaurants, in the evening - a fountain show. Suitable for couples, youth and families with children.
But the most important thing in traveling around Crete is very beautiful landscapes: sea, mountain, thickets of olive trees, a huge number of churches, ancient historical monuments. At least once in a lifetime it is worth visiting this island, no one will remain indifferent.
