Hello dear travel friends? I want to share with you my impressions about the rest on the fabulous island of Rhodes! Rested with a boyfriend and friends at the Aelia hotel. Transfer from the airport took 40-50 minutes.
A small cozy hotel, nice pretty green area. 3 km from Aelia is the village of Afandou, where you can find a pharmacy, mini markets, fruit shops, taverns, pastry shops, etc. You can get to it by train (daily from the hotel / it takes 15-20 minutes / the cost for an adult one way is 1.8 euros or on foot for 30-40 minutes. From the central square of Afandou, you can get to Rhodes by public transport. Schedule available at the bus stop (ticket price 2.5 one way per person) 5 km away is another tourist village Kolymbia. There is a eucalyptus alley along which there are numerous taverns, souvenir and clothing stores, 2 grocery markets, also there you can find a pharmacy, a first-aid post, numerous car rentals and bus stops to Rhodes and Lindos.
There are two amazing fish taverns Avantis and Psary not far from the hotel. The food in the hotel itself is excellent. The hotel is all inclusive. True, they don’t give bottles of water and there are no coolers, but you can ask to draw water into your bottle or take it in glasses at the bar.

Of course, one cannot fail to mention the gorgeous beach! The longest on the island, pebbly, is located 100 m from the hotel.
The rooms are good, everything worked for us, there was also enough space, well, yes, we didn’t spend much time in the room.
Of the minuses of the hotel, which, in principle, do not spoil the rest and we knew about them when booking, but for someone it may be important:
- no animation
- Internet is free only in the lobby and at the reception, but not in the rooms
- no beach towels
- there is no iron and hairdryer in the room, but you can ask at the reception.
In general, we had a great time! Want to return! I advise everyone, especially such non-party companies as ours, and families. Rhodes is a fabulous island in general, we have been to many places in Greece, but the nature of this island is definitely worth visiting! Be sure to visit the bay in Lindos, I liked the beach there most of all, the water is azure and on the right is a view of the acropolis, beauty !! !
