We traveled to Rhodes from June 19 to July 3.2011.

Alfa is a small, cozy hotel for a quiet family vacation. I'll start with some inaccuracies in the description - the hotel is not located on the first line, you need to walk 5 minutes to the beach across the road and another hotel. The rooms are tiny but comfortable, you had to pay for air conditioning. The view of the mountains is actually a view of the parking lot and the garbage heap. The service staff is very friendly, although no one speaks Russian, but everyone understood my broken English, especially the Slovak students working in the bar. The food was just amazing, of course some were expecting a buffet the size of a stadium, but the hotel has 61 rooms. The food was varied, they gave various types of meat, vegetables, desserts. From drinks, red and white wine, beer, liqueurs, rum gin, metaxa - almost the entire range of local production, which the bartenders mixed and prepared very beautiful cocktails.

The hotel area is small but beautiful. From the side of the pool, you can see the mountain where the Tsambika monastery is located. The pool is beautifully designed and has a small slide for the kids.

There was no animation at the hotel, although it seems that we could use many entertainments at the Alfa beach hotel, which is located across the road, but what to use and how we did not understand, we were very unlucky with the guide Aslan, who was always late for 20 minutes for meeting with us, the date and time of this meeting always turned out to be a mystery to us, because there was one thing in the schedule, but in fact Aslan did not have time to change the schedule (he always had time to eat at the hotel).

In general, we were not lucky with the host le grand. We saw how they work with vacationers from other countries, how they are shown the hotel, they tell everything, they escort them to their rooms - this is not accepted in le grand, turn around as you like. Aslan had prepared answers to any question: I don’t know, but should I?
I don't have much time, I need to go to another hotel. This is the first time we have encountered such unprofessionalism. Once I asked him to ask him about extending the room on the day of departure, my knowledge of English, I was afraid that it would not be enough, so he did not reach the reception 2 steps, said that this should be done the day before and fled. As a result, I came up on the eve of departure and I was refused an extension, because this would have to be done in advance. If it were not for the compassionate Muscovites who let my two-year-old child sleep for several hours during the day, then we would sit in the heat. By the way, on the day of departure, after check-out from the room, you can have lunch, use the bar, swimming pool.

Some from morning to evening spent in the hotel by the pool. We were active. We rented a car and drove around the island. The nature is simply magnificent, the beaches, starting from the bay located near the hotel, one is better than the other, everywhere you will find a shower.

Most of all I liked the beach in Tsambika, it is sandy and clean. There is a daily bus from the hotel in the morning and evening. From the hotel within a radius of 5 km there are two attractions of the island - Upper and lower Tsambika and 7 springs. Strong young and beautiful people could walk there, it was difficult for us with a child, so we drove by car. We rented a car for the first time for 60 euros for 3 days (subcompact) at the Alfa beach hotel, it was the cheapest, then their prices went up. We went to Lindos, Rhodes, to the valley of butterflies, to the monastery of Michael the Archangel in Laerma. Park more carefully, ask your guide how to do it in Rhodes. our Aslan had no time to work with us, so we paid 20 euros for parking without understanding exactly what we did wrong.
the island is wonderful, the people are friendly, friendly, they will vying to explain the way, they will be grateful only for the fact that you went to their store and praised the products. I would recommend the hotel for a family holiday with a small child
