Good day everyone! I recently returned from a vacation at Amathus, visited it with my 9-year-old daughter and friends who also had children of different ages. Let me tell you about the cons first.
In general, I liked everything, the biggest, in my opinion, the disadvantage of the hotel is the notorious queues in the restaurant - really very annoying. The beach also seems dirty at first glance, but it is natural debris, mostly algae. Although, in other countries, and in other hotels, they somehow manage to remove it - simply for aesthetic reasons. The disadvantages will also include the lack of a toilet on the beach - well, it's a bit far to go to the pool, gentlemen managers)! And the one by the pool is not cleaned often enough for such a flow of people who want to visit it. Also, the lack of an equipped descent for a baby stroller on the way to the sea is not very convenient - of course, the staff, if they see mommy, helpfully helps to lift / lower her, but often there is no one nearby, and the girls have to carry a difficult stroller with a two-year-old child up / down the stairs not the most stable complexion) - or "jump" on the steps. And in the end, by the way, the stroller broke (.
I don’t have any particular complaints about the cleaning of the rooms, the view from the window I personally had was better than ordered, but the room is small, and even in the shower cubicle, even for me, with my XS size, it was a bit cramped))). How men enter there - I can't imagine.

Another minus - even for an all-inclusive service on the beach for a fee - waiters bring free drinks only by the pool. And, keep in mind, future vacationers at Amathus - your "all inclusive" does not apply to everything, but only to what is marked P / P on the menu, and "turns into a pumpkin", that is, ends at 24.00 - From now on, all drinks are paid))). Order more in advance.
Now about the pluses - there are many of them - a green, cozy area; good animation (themed parties in the bar on the 11th floor, and the animators themselves are great, they are trying); pleasant, friendly staff (in general, I apparently fell into some kind of statistical sample, I was a representative man with glasses, one of the managers, apparently, shook hands as soon as I caught his eye, and inquired: "How are you today ? "). The food is delicious, the choice is good (the waiters just don’t come up for a long time to take an order for drinks - well, apparently they don’t have time). Nice SPA center, I liked all the procedures that I did. Excellent "lobster evening" (it is for an extra charge, 44 euros for an adult, 22 for a child - but the child will bring exactly the same amount, i. e. VERY much food))). And in the free "a la carte" we also liked everything. The sea is warm, small waves are only a joy, and a light breeze makes lying on the beach more pleasant.
By the way, thanks to the promotion of the hotel, we, completely free of charge, got the opportunity to compare our coast with the coast of the Mediterranean Sea - we went for 2 days to the Princess Andrianna Hotel, located near Lindos. If this promotion continues on your arrival, I advise you to go, that hotel is also wonderful, brand new, and the sea is different (calm, but cold), and the weather is hotter. But, in the end, we decided that "Amathus" is still more comfortable, and the food here is better))).
In general - many thanks to the staff of "Amathus" and the tour operator "Biblio Globus" for a great vacation. True - this is already for the "Biblio Globe" - we did not like the hotel guide in "Amathus" for a number of reasons, but in "Princess Andrianna" she is a very pleasant and caring girl.
Have a good rest everyone).
