The purchase of a tour to the CALYPSO LIPPIA FAMILY RESORT 4 * + hotel was meaningful, conscious and not accidental, although there was no information-reviews about the hotel on our websites at all. I had to climb on the Internet and find posted photos of the hotel by foreign citizens, which differed from those presented by the tour operator. Therefore, I knew in advance that the hotel is located in a very sparsely populated place, near the village of Afandou, far from party places, in particular from Faliraki, and that you need to stomp through the wasteland along a sandy and rocky path to the beach, although not very far, 300 meters, but there will be an unpaved road on the way. And the beach itself is an endless expanse, framed by mountains and the impression that you are alone on this beach... I dreamed of such a vacation, relaxation. Of course, this was also facilitated by the time of year: early-mid May, when the hotel was filled to the twentieth part - I counted 30 vacationers for almost 500 available places. Therefore, vacationers were surrounded by care and attention of the hotel staff in the good sense of the word, treated as dear and welcome guests. The Metrodhotel was always interested in whether everything was in order, if there were any problems, and if everyone liked it. And when I said that I want green tea, at my request it was immediately purchased, regardless of the assortment with bergamot, chamomile and just black. I really liked the food, I have not seen such a variety of fruits in any hotel, up to pineapples, strawberries and kiwi, not to mention watermelons, apples, pears and bananas. The cook tried very hard and cooked wonderful lamb, a couple of times there were intricately cooked seafood. The bar offers a variety of imported spirits. True, the arrival of Russian tourists this year was the first time, I'm afraid that the ardor of the owner of the hotel, as well as the range of expensive alcohol, will sharply decrease in the future...
Only positive things can be said about the cleaning in the room - everything changed and was cleaned perfectly.
The hotel has a car rental point, if you have an international driving license, you can rent a car and drive around the island, which is only 78 km long. You can also travel by bus, a stop not far from the hotel, 20 km to Rhodes, 2.50 euro ticket, to Lindov - the same way. You can also take a taxi, if I'm not mistaken 2 euros / km.

The beach of the hotel is sandy and pebbly, sparsely populated, the sea is wonderful. Sunbeds and umbrellas are completely free, which is rare for Greece.
