In this hotel we rested as a family from 10 to 24 July - parents and children 19 and 14 years old. Departure on vacation was more than problematic for us. At first, the passport of the eldest son did not leave the consulate on time, which we learned the day before departure, and we postponed the trip for a week, since the vacation time allowed. Then, a few days before departure, the youngest son breaks his arm. As a result, just before the flight, I stumble upon two negative reviews about the hotel and finally become limp. As it seemed to me then, I didn’t want anything anymore. . . But on the 10th (wow! ) we safely flew out of Kharkov, flew successfully, very quickly passed through passport control at the Rhodes airport, and after an hour and a half, maybe forty hours, we were at the hotel. And this is despite the fact that tourists were brought to 6 or 7 hotels along the way. The meeting side of Le Grand - well done, no complaints, they always helped. The road to the hotel did not tire - the island is very beautiful, and the bus is comfortable. We were seated very quickly. The room is not new, but very clean and pleasant. I was not afraid of the lack of a flat TV in the room and a couple of slightly chipped tiles on the wall in the bathroom. But in general, the room made a very favorable impression - wide and comfortable beds, clean linen, terry dressing gowns and slippers, a large loggia with wicker furniture and a gorgeous view from the window. The hotel makes a very good impression. 300 meters to the sea, no more. I personally noticed the time myself - I slowly walked from the room to the beach in 5 minutes. Slowly !! ! Yes, the hotel, as it were, stands a little on the mountain, its entire relief is hills, hillocks, ladders interspersed with chic flower beds. Perhaps it will be difficult for people with sore legs. But let this not scare ordinary people from 3 years old to 75! The ascents and descents are not difficult. The hotel even seems to be a little recessed into the rock. Very beautiful area! For parents with strollers, it can be a little inconvenient due to the descents and ascents. But we saw a lot of Europeans with babies and prams. By the way, the main contingent of the hotel - Europe. A lot of French, Germans, English, Poles, etc. The animation is excellent and in all languages, including Russian. There are 4-5 people from Latvia - Vlad, Nadyusha, Olesya and others, who wonderfully entertained our boys, for which many thanks to them and greetings from the BRILLIANT HAND, as they called my youngest son with a plastered hand!!!!!! ! !!!!!!!!!! ! By the way, the animation is in English. and fr. absolutely no one bothers. Children do not care, they find a common language with everyone. And ours even seriously practiced the languages that they teach! Now about the beach. Sand, and closer to the water - medium-sized pebbles. I can't say that she digs right into her legs. In our Crimea, on the South Coast, pebbles are much less pleasant. So the issue of special shoes is decided individually. I don't think it's needed. The sea is wonderful, clear, warm and clean with a bunch of fish, which we also fed!! ! By the way, there are really a lot of sunbeds, the beach is completely filled by 11-00 hours, not earlier. On the first morning at 7-00 we, like idiots, ran with my husband to the beach. But not even in order to take a seat, but in order to swim in the clear morning sea. There was one person on the beach. On the trail. morning at the same time we were the first. . . I think it's also because Europeans like to sunbathe near the pools. . As for the cleanliness of the beach - it is completely cleaned by 8-00 in the morning. Until that time, you run the risk of seeing both plastic dishes and pieces of paper. . . But during the rest period, I myself noticed more than once that several families of vacationers, moreover from the CIS countries, threw watermelon peels right under the sunbeds, although there are plenty of garbage cans on the beach. So truly - it's not clean where they clean, but where they don't litter. The restaurant food is very tasty, a lot of fruits and vegetables, delicious pastries, pancakes, chic meat. Chicken, turkey, beef, pork, lamb - you can't list everything. Honestly, this hotel had the most delicious food we have ever been! They took the car for 3 days - 107 fawn. We rented a car directly from the hotel. Fawn cost us 100 euros for 3 days. He did not let us down, because there is good quality asphalt even in the most seedy village. Traveled all south. We were in Lindos, on Prasonisi, went to Monolithos. From Monolithos to Prasonisi (this is the southwestern coast), a stunning view of the Aegean Sea opens directly from the road. Guys! I saw such a sea only in Egypt - bright turquoise-blue! And awesome dark yellow sand! These beaches are wild, you can drive up and take gorgeous photos and swim!! ! Were in the monastery of St. Archangel Michael in Terry. In general, there are many chic, stunning and amazing places. If you have a license and driving experience - be sure to take a car !! ! Greeks are wonderful and friendly people. And if you still learn a few words in Greek - for example. good morning, thank you, please, how are you - they will be delighted! But it's all poetry. As for the hotel - it is very worthy! Across the road is Maris of the same Mitsis chain. But to say that it is very different - I can not. Maybe he's newer. By the way, from this year it is no longer possible to eat both there and there. Only if you have already been guests of the Mitsis hotel chain, then you need to register on a special website, and next. since you will be considered a regular guest, you will be wearing black bracelets and they entitle you to many discounts and privileges in the Mitsis network. Once again, from the reviews that I read on the Internet about the hotel, and from what we saw, I realized that many perceive everything differently. Don't get hung up on the little things! We also saw a praying mantis that met us every morning on the path in front of the room (the door from our room went straight to the street, and not to the corridor in the building, although the hotel has different rooms), even 2-3 ants that crawled towards us to the room. But this did not spoil our good mood and positive attitude. We really liked the hotel. I did not think that when leaving, the children would say that they would like to come here again! The only negative impression we had was the tour operator "Join up! ", which on the 24th canceled the flight to Kharkiv and, having collected people from 3 flights, sent us to Kyiv, and from there Kharkiv residents took buses, though at their expense. But the buses were, to put it mildly, not quite comfortable. . . As a result, we were in Kharkov only at 21-00, instead of 13-00. Nobody apologized to us. No one even remembered that we paid for the flight to Kharkov, which is more expensive than to Kyiv. We were told about the flight change only the night before, and at 6-00 we were already leaving the hotel. In general, there is little pleasant, but that's a completely different story. But even this circumstance did not spoil our impressions received in Rhodes at the Rhodes Village hotel. So if in doubt - go and do not be afraid! Have a good rest!! !
