Hotel Orion 3 * was the third in order of transfer from the airport and we got into it in about 30 minutes. 4 families left. Everyone was settled immediately (it was about 7 in the morning) and offered to go to breakfast (from 7 to 10). With us came the overlay. We got into the room only the third time. They gave keys to different vacant rooms in different buildings, but when we got there, it turned out that there was one double bed, which did not suit us, because my mother and teenage son arrived. As a result, for the third time "the old man threw... ", they finally brought us to the back building in room 127 on the first floor. There were 4 beds. Two side by side and a bunk bed. There is also a double wardrobe, a mirror, bedside tables in the room, in the kitchen corner there is a table, chairs, a refrigerator, a kettle. There were only bars of soap in the bathroom. So take shampoo and gel with you. There is a hair dryer, stationary, the power is not adjustable. Breakfast is so-so. Time 7.00 -10.00. 00. But you won't stay hungry. There are fried eggs, ham, cheese, delicious bread. Yogurt is suitable for the son, it can be sprinkled with cereal or raisins. Tea, coffee, water at breakfast for free. Dinner is good. Time 18.00 - 22.00. There were three side dishes to choose from (potatoes, pasta, rice), meatballs, turkey, bolognese sauce. Some salads. There are simply chopped cucumbers, lettuce leaves. Ice cream is soft. But drinks for dinner are not included. For dessert they had watermelon. There are no other fruits in the hotel restaurant, except for a fruit salad for breakfast of canned fruits. Fruit can be bought at the supermarket. Fairly reasonable prices and a good selection in the "AV" supermarket, which can be reached on foot in 10-15 minutes. At the end of June, apricots cost 1.75 euros, peaches -1.45 euros, cherries about 4 euros. The assortment in this supermarket is the same as in our chains. Cheeses, sausages, sour-milk products, household chemicals and more. In order not to carry water from afar, it is better to go to a supermarket near the hotel (1 min. ). There we bought 1.5 liters for 0.7 euros. Tea is best boiled from bottled water. The pool in the hotel is medium in size with clean and warm enough water, but the water in the jacuzzi is not warm, and even colder than in the pool. Lots of sunbeds and umbrellas around the pool. The reviews wrote about mosquitoes. In fact, when you sit at the reception, mosquitoes bite there. I saw that the lady came, asked the spray can to spray from mosquitoes. We lived on the first floor in a distant building overlooking the "garden". We slept with the door closed, with air conditioning. We didn't have mosquitoes in our room. WI-FI is free, there are several networks. There is a network without a password at all, but its radius is limited only by the reception. When this network completely disappeared from us, we asked for a password from a secure one, they gave us a password, and connected. This network has already caught both in the restaurant and in the pool. It takes about 5 minutes to walk to the beach. The hotel is conveniently located on this street perpendicular to the sea, otherwise the next passage is quite far. The beach is sandy. The sea is shallow. In the morning there is a tide, and in the evening you can walk 20 meters and a person of average height will not be above the waist. At the end of June there was a strong wind. If you do not lie on towels and mats, you need to press down with pebbles, preferably heavier. There is a mini-pier on the beach, from which boats depart on schedule to Rhodes, it costs 6.5 euros, it takes about 40 minutes on the way. If you take a boat from Rhodes back to Faliraki in the late. 30), be prepared to miss the Apollo Beach stop and land at the final stop at the end of the beach. This is explained by the tide. Then you will have to walk 15-20 minutes to the hotel, but on the way you will meet McDonald's and you can have a bite to eat there. The bus stop to Lindos and (on the opposite side) to Rhodes is named after the Apollo Beach Hotel and is located 3 minutes from the Orion restaurant. A bus runs to Rhodes every 20 minutes, or even more often. On the way, we often stopped at stops and the trip took 45 minutes, although if you drive by car without stops, it's about 15 minutes. The bus goes to Lindos about 50 minutes; there is a timetable, but be prepared for the buses to be late. We planned to leave on the very first one at 8.20 (20 minutes late). The next scheduled one is at 9.20. Nearby there is a bowling alley and minigolf (7 euros per person). The whole street is filled with shops.
