I didn’t think that I would ever write a review about the rest, but this is a special case, my wife asked))) It is clear that any opinion is the essence of subjectivity, however, if anyone is interested...
We rested from 10.07 to 28.07 with two children 8 and 3. We arrived at the hotel at 10 am and, of course, settled only after 5 hours. Extremely unpleasant, despite the fact that they were ready for this after reading previous reviews. This is especially disgusting after the fact, when you find out that you were not settled, not because the room was not ready, but simply because the rules are like that. In the future, this Greek pseudo-punctuality was encountered more than once, but, for starters, the first day of rest was cynically taken away by the hotel staff. We woke up at 3 a. m. , had a flight, sat for 5 (five!!! ) hours in a hall that was by no means cool and, as a result, there was no energy left for anything. Realities.

Those who hope to get a better number, choose it - empty. You will get what they give you and you will have PRACTICALLY no chance to change anything. We were lucky. Gave a room by the main pool (1104), everything is relatively close and convenient. A small minus is that the entire daytime part of the animation takes place at the main pool (10-12 and 15-17), but this, again, is a matter of taste.
Well, now about the hotel. Not for criticism, but for fairness))). Without heartburn, as they say, but the hotel is far from 5 *. Very far. Moreover, for my taste, it does not even reach 4 *, and that would be fine, but its price is clearly five-star and this is extremely unpleasant to realize.
What am I talking about? Yes, almost everything. So people came to the sea. There is no beach. No, i. e. Of course, there are sunbeds near the sea, and the sea is here, but....The concrete platform is fine, but it is necessary to think over a convenient entrance and exit. In order not to notice such a frank inconvenience, you need to have excellent sports shape, but this is not an extreme camp, this is a family hotel. Well, there is no way to soak up the waves on the shore, so be it, but what about children and the elderly? Lots of pools for them, will probably answer me. Yes, there are many pools. But, firstly, the pools are too chlorinated, so vigorously, and, most importantly, I repeat, people come to the sea. By the way, I notice that the more pools (this is served as a virtue), the higher the likelihood that not everything is in order with the beach (this, of course, is hushed up). I would like to be fair, because often the advantages directly follow from the shortcomings: because of the low population, the sea is very clean. So go ahead! ))
Nutrition. Very mediocre. No, it is clear that you will not die of hunger, however....An extremely meager set of dishes, almost invariably repeated from day to day. Not fatal, but... unpleasant! It's amazing to read reviews about some kind of abundance, especially seafood! What can I say. "To whom the bride is a mare" (c) I will make a reservation right away that I myself am against gluttony, but, again, we are talking about a 5 * hotel. Tasteless vegetables struck. Cucumbers and tomatoes of the level of the cheapest stores in Moscow. Surprised by the lack of a "live" grill. After all, even in Egypt you have the opportunity to make yourself scrambled eggs or an omelet with the right ingredients, but here, as in the dining room, right. But let it be trifles, let (however, still not trifles, in my opinion), but what about drinks? I understand that those who write about the "variety of drinks" mean a lot of (really) machines with a variety of "chemistry". Well guys, no comment, as they say. Note that I am not even talking about freshly squeezed juices, they simply do not exist, even for money (!? ), but at least you could have packaged juices in quantity. I do not want to write here about a la carte restaurants, they are not bad, especially Chinese, but constant food at the hotel has nothing to do with these "frills". So.

Animation Entertainment Never paid attention to it, but due to the location of the room, had the opportunity to form an opinion on this matter. Everything is quite monotonous and, I would say, primitive, but, I repeat, I don’t know how it happens if it happens “on the level”. The same level of mini-disco for children (I can’t stand it when kids are assigned the role of such “sub-humans”, like “everyone eats”, it's me as a father of many children... ), but evening shows are generally a separate conversation. The main animator, like the artistic director, Roberto, is the essence of a narcissistic peacock, and this is a tragic situation. For him, of course, what we saw and left))). So, evening shows. In one day. Day animators type themed dancing. Directed by Roberto, of course. Well, a day later the solo itself. He sits down with a guitar and howls like world-famous hits, in his understanding, of course (and the guy, I must say, "stuck" somewhere at the turn of the 80-90s) And the audience (by the evening there were up to 15 of them at his "concerts" - tee, or even 40 people (well, people drank)) applaud, applaud... The dog would be with him, with Roberto, but even in the lobby it is impossible to talk because of his terrible, very loud howls. Yard amateur performance, in short. I also drew attention to this nuance. Italian-speaking animators predominate, but the Russian-speaking audience predominates. With all the consequences, as usual. . .
I repeat, the hotel is a maximum of 3 *. You can say a lot more, about, for example, how towels are changed (from 10 to 15, and where - at the reception! Far and extremely inconvenient), how, let's be cynical, they frankly spat on us at check-out (we had a check-out at 6 -40, but the guys who were supposed to take things out only work from 7-00, about how they booked us for an early breakfast, we come, but there is no breakfast, there is nothing, so we went hungry), about the lack of a round-the-clock lobby, etc. , etc. . I want to be understood correctly: we had a good rest. But this "good" is a direct consequence of our positive attitude, not fixation on the negative, the ability to see the positive everywhere. I would go further and say that we had a good holiday despite the "concerns" of the hotel staff. Someone will say that they say snobbery, grumbling, that all this can be ignored. Yes, I absolutely agree, this is also a position, you can do it that way, but... not for my money! And it doesn’t matter to me at all - such an attitude towards the client is a direct consequence of the Greek mentality (as many are sure), or disgusting management (I also tend to this point of view), or both, for me everything is the same. Will I come back here, will I recommend "Aldemar" to any of my friends and relatives? No, that would be extremely dishonest of me, this page is turned, the topic is closed. But be, be! I'll tell you about the good, it's also there.
The hotel is clearly not overloaded with people, which was good. Quiet, relaxing family hotel. The area is green and large. The staff is friendly, albeit superficially, but quite, the room was cleaned very decently, everything changed every day. This Greek calmness, indifference, unobtrusiveness are worth something)))) Very calmly - go wherever you want, go wherever you want - nowhere is there anything like it, even for signs of unfriendliness. Nice. Yes, and there were no particular problems with fruit. Quite.
Undoubtedly, one of the most attractive tourist products of Rhodes is car rental. Relatively inexpensive (do not take a car in the first office, there are a lot of them even near the hotel - you will find it to your taste and money), and to the point, as they say. Do not listen to anyone (the girls who campaign for you for the excursions they offer will tell you "horror stories" about, for example, that you need international rights, about how scary the locals are, etc. Bullshit, s. Complete), take the rights (even ordinary ones) and go! We took the car twice for three days and never saw a single policeman. I repeat, never once! The daily routine by car was approximately as follows: in the morning we went to see something (the island is small, 40 by 80, we traveled far and wide in six days), then lunch in some tavern. On the west coast (there is the Aegean Sea) there is a place where fishermen bring their catch. And, of course, right there, in the amount of fish taverns. People, this is something! The features of Greek taverns are as follows: these are not "two pennies", as they say here, but! Keep in mind that the dishes are really big, even huge! For three or four, take one salad and, at most, an appetizer and two dishes. It is very likely that you will not eat everything! In addition, you will definitely be rolled out a huge portion (for everyone) of excellent, cold watermelon before submitting the bill! They will give, by the way, bread for free, do not order. Cards are accepted absolutely everywhere, a tip of 5-7% is quite enough.

Well, in the afternoon (the little one was sleeping in the car at that time. By the way. When ordering a car, pay attention to the operation of the air conditioner, this is extremely important, and God forbid you take a convertible, after all, we, Russians, are like children! It’s very hot during the day! ) we drove to the best beach of Rhodes, to Tsambika. This beach is a must visit. After 15-30 it is already relatively not hot and there... paradise! A sunbed is 4 euros, but from the second day we didn’t take a sunbed (we didn’t need it - we didn’t get out of the sea), threw towels and plop! The beach is civil, everything is there, Russian speech, by the way, has not been heard in six days. Why then. Gasoline is certainly expensive (1.7 euros per liter), but the distances are not large, so it's not critical. On the island, it seems that 2 out of 3 cars are rented. In short, we liked it.
Well, that's all. There will be questions, I will try to answer. I repeat that I understand the extreme subjectivity of any, including my reference, but this is my opinion. My view is not speculative, but rests on observation and my personal experience. And I write, of course, exclusively for those who have already decided to go there. At the reception is a thick book of reviews. I recommend. 4 out of 5 reviews in the negative to strongly negative category. From year to year the same thing. They didn't care about everything.
Good luck.
