The beach is pebbly, but there are no corals, so you don’t need slippers, but if your feet suddenly feel uncomfortable, they cost 4-5 euros in supermarkets at hotels. Fans of sandy beaches can easily get to the beaches of Faliraki by rented car or taxi (25 minutes) or by bus (comfortable Mercedes run from the bus station every half an hour until late in the evening, ticket 2.2 euros).

In general, it makes no sense to sit in a hotel - there are a lot of picturesque places on the island (and not only by the sea, but also in the mountains, one Mussolini dacha is worth something), beaches, by the way, the Old Town is much more beautiful in the evening.
It is more profitable to buy sea excursions at the port, sightseeing tours of the island are nothing at all - a continuous advertisement of shops and "unique liquors" (at least from Pegasus) - it is much more interesting to wander / drive yourself, after having familiarized yourself (at home) with the help of the Internet with the history of the island.
Feel free to rent a car, if there is still heavy traffic in Rhodes itself, but practically without traffic jams, then outside the capital of the island there is generally grace, mostly tourists drive, look for sights on the maps and therefore are in no hurry) Yes, and a few of them.
