Hotel. All information is mixed.
The windows of the room overlooked the opposite side of the sea. But I would not say that it was quiet - mopeds, cars drive around the clock. Well, the restless Aegean Sea reminded of itself. We slept with an open balcony, only a couple of times covered with a sheet. There were no mosquitoes. The room has two beds, one bedside table, two chairs, a table, a mirror with a shelf, a refrigerator, a TV, a wardrobe with hangers, warm blankets, and no hair dryer. What else do you need for an overnight stay? Clean, no insects - and great. The furniture is shabby but not conspicuous. One Russian channel. Linen and towels (also not new for a long time) are changed every other day, there is information about this in the bathroom. Safe, locked with a key, paid.
My friend's pajama shorts are missing. A day later, they turned to the reception with a question - maybe they took it along with the linen? They called somewhere, clarified the color with us and asked us to come in the evening.

As a result, they gave a package with washed shorts that disappeared and someone's bra (of course they left it there) =)
The wind is really strong. The color of the sea is unreal, moving from bright azure to deep blue. The water is quite warm. Pebbles are large, unpleasant for the feet. There is an underground passage to the beach, but it is near the Belvedere. Sun loungers and umbrellas are paid, but we, as usual, are on towels. The advantage of the beach is that the sunbeds are not placed close to the water, as in Bulgaria, and, therefore, those who like to lie on the rocks do not have to hobble to the sea for a long time =) The pool, the entrance to which from the side of the dining room, is very small and is fenced off from the road by a high fence . Navital melancholy, so they did not use it.
It takes a long time to dry because of the incessant cool wind. Deep into the island and on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, of course, there is no such hurricane.
Breakfast - eggs, scrambled eggs, sausages, cheese, sausage, canned fruit, yogurt, watermelon, muffin, cookies, cereal.
Dinner at a nearby 4 * hotel - several types of hot dishes and side dishes, soup, salads, vegetables, cold cuts, melon, watermelon, liquor once a week (we found tangerine and strawberry), cake or jelly, very tasty ice cream (4 types) with glaze (chocolate / strawberry / caramel). Once there were king prawns. Drinks for a fee. You sit down, the waitress comes and asks for the room number and what you will drink. A small juice or tea costs 2.8 euros, a bottle of water (enough for about 4 glasses) - 1 euro.
We had an early check out, the day before we warned at the reception about the need for breakfast. On the day of departure, we went down at the agreed time - in the bar there was tea / coffee and 3 cookies each.
There were even 2 books in Russian in the room on the 1st floor, where the folders of travel agencies lie, vacationers leave the books they have read.
In the mini market at the hotel, pay attention to expiration dates. For example, on bottles of body cream, they are re-glued. But the food seems to be fresh.

Hotel guide Anna was only interested in those tourists who bought excursions from her. She answered our first (as it turned out, the only) question without turning her head, immediately switching her attention to someone else. Don't ask any more =)
A friend had a birthday, she was presented with a small bottle of wine and a postcard from the hotel.

City.
Magnets from 1 euro and above. Sunglasses - from 5 euros. There are interesting shops with ceramics and handmade souvenirs. In the old town they are open until 12 at night.
We found a fairly large supermarket on Konstantinou street.
Greeks are friendly, smiling, unobtrusive. And in the evening, for some reason, it was not at all scary to wander through the dark streets.
There are many different cafes and restaurants, for every taste and budget. Lunch cost an average of 12 euros without alcohol. We dined more often at Jason No. 1, but the last time we were unpleasantly surprised - an extra dish was included in the bill.
Since in our country everyone paid for himself, they checked the checks (which is very difficult, because they write illegibly and in their own language). But there was only one such deception.
Russians - every second.
On one of the three streets with restaurants (not far from the hotel, they seem to depart like rays from the monument) we accidentally met a small shop with Greek natural souvenirs - soap, oil, creams, sweets, spices, etc. - at attractive prices. When we came there for the second time, we were presented with a bar of soap. Apparently the hostess herself served us. And both times they were treated to sweets.
Among other things, I remember the Archaeological Museum - many nooks and crannies, stairs and rooms, do not miss a single one.
We walked along the walls of the old city. The entrance is open on Tuesdays and Saturdays, located on the left after entering the steps to the territory of the Palace of the Magisters. Tickets are on sale at the box office of the Palace.
There are no fences on the wall itself, keep this in mind when traveling with children.
The night old town and the embankment with illuminated ships and boats are magical.
Aquarium - interesting, but not enough.

City of Lindos

Bus from the stop at the port of Mandraki. Travel time - 1.5 hours, cost - 5 euros. Picks up more people along the way. All buses have air conditioning, so it's not hot (I wish we had thought of that too. . ). Upon arrival, we split up - someone went on foot, and someone became a donkey rider (5 euros). Walking up to the acropolis is not easy - slippery (!!! ) uncomfortable steps, lack of fences. Donkeys work only in pairs. Therefore, if there is only one person, then you will have to wait for another unpaired person so that you can hit the road. But as the girls said, this version of the ascent also did not bring pleasure - it was scary to hit the wall (or that the animal would slip) and beat off the priests.
6 euro entry.
We dined at the rooftop restaurant on the top floor. Windy but great view of the acropolis and Lindos itself.
Don't forget to find the amphitheater.
We decided to swim in the bay of St. Paul. It was not possible to reach it immediately, they wandered in the narrow streets. The coastline of the bay is small, so we sat down in a cafe. They changed in the bushes, because they didn’t even find a toilet. Although most likely he must have been somewhere =) You can make very beautiful shots in the water near the stones. The water itself is very clear, calm and warm.

Simi.
We bought tickets for the ferry a few days in advance, for which we were lucky - a discount. 17 euro round trip. Departure at 10.00. We arrived at 9, we were loaded into a bus and taken to another pier, outside the old city. First to the island (after all, there is very little time to inspect such beauty), then to the monastery. Just in case, I advise you to take places on the covered deck on the ferry, there are even sofas. But make sure that there is no air conditioner above you.
On the deck farthest from the entrance and closest to the toilets, a huge, middle-aged bartender with the voice of an inveterate sailor makes a magical frappe. I have never come across such deliciousness in the city.

Rodini park.

Bus 12 with the inscription on the board Rodini express from the port of Mandraki. 1 euro one way. You yourself will never guess where to get off, so ask the driver to kick you out at the right stop (there is also a church nearby). Drive 15-20 minutes. From the stop, go in the direction of traffic, cross the road, a little straight past the restaurant and here is the park. I don’t know how big it is in different directions, we only walked along the river from above and right by the water. Inhabitants - geese, peacocks, huge fish. And not a single person. If you dream, it may seem that you are in a fairy tale or a horror movie =) Ancient ruins, waterfalls, flowers, fogs, eucalyptus trees. . And very clean. Even the photos are unreal.
I read somewhere that the park will be interesting only in free time for lovers of antiquities. Not true. It is very beautiful, calm, unusual, and it will be a great addition to the impressions of the island. We left from the same stop where we arrived. On the same bus. But we had to wait 30 minutes.

Monte Smith.
We went there on foot. It turned out pretty close. Stadium, amphitheater with three ancient seats, acropolis. Beautiful and impressive.

Now I love Greece on a par with Spain.
