My wife and I lived in this hotel, specially choosing it on the principle: as close as possible to the beaches, the historical center and bus stops (we like to travel, sightseeing, using public transport). I’ll clarify right away: we are unpretentious people, we don’t need any kind of luxury, full-fledged animation, etc. But compared to many other Greek hotels of the same level, Venus left a much worse impression.
1. There was an old and poorly functioning refrigerator in the room, which "leaked" regularly.
2. A tiny (it’s impossible to even pick another word) bathroom brought a lot of trouble. For some sub-miniature Asian like a Thai or Vietnamese, he might have come up. And for a person of high stature and normal physique - a real torment. I just got tired of entering there, kicking my feet on the shower tray. Not to mention the constant unpleasant smell from the toilet and sink.

3. In order to "shove" this bathroom into the space of the room, I had to sacrifice the distance between the ends of the beds and the wall. As a result, guests simply have to "squeeze" along the wall.
4. Very narrow balcony.
5. Food is more than meager. I repeat: we are unpretentious people, but in the same "deuces" in Crete and Corfu they fed much better!
6. Infernal noise from night bars located close to the hotel. Idiots - visitors (in another way it is difficult even to call them) shouted at the top of their voices until 3 - 4 o'clock in the morning.
7. An antediluvian elevator, where two people of average build can be accommodated with great difficulty. It is theoretically possible to take suitcases with you, but it will already be akin to an acrobatic number.
To the pluses, in addition to the already mentioned convenient location, I can add a kind attitude, courtesy of the staff. But, alas, the cons outweigh!
If we happen to come to Rhodes again, we will not stay at this hotel ourselves, and we will advise others not to.
